According to the Express, the sisters are allegedly trying to distance themselves from their parents, Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, as well as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, in an effort to stay clear of the ongoing drama. After all, both now have their own families and children to think of. The report further claimed, “They have tried to stay away from any royal drama that could jeopardise their lives.” Ultimately, the princesses appear acutely aware of how their future standing could be impacted if they remain close to those drawing controversy to the monarchy.
In fact, according to an unnamed source who spoke to Woman’s Day, this dynamic has led to the sisters seemingly distancing themselves from each other as well. They elaborated, saying, “Beatrice and Eugenie both want to put some distance between themselves and their parents, and now they’re doing the same with each other.” They added, “They love each other dearly, of course, but they’ve realised that always being seen as a package deal hasn’t necessarily helped them in the long run, so now, they’re going their separate ways.” But that’s not all; the insider also emphasized that a lot is at stake for Beatrice and Eugenie, as both are allegedly fighting to hold onto their spots within the Royal Family.
Meanwhile, they are also preparing for a contingency plan in case the worst-case scenario unfolds. The insider added, “They’re fighting to hang on, and that pressure has definitely got them feeling competitive. They are also trying to line up opportunities to keep them afloat should the worst-case scenario happen.” According to reports, their relationship grew even more distant following an incident that put Eugenie in a pickle with Markle. A copy of Meghan’s book, which she had gifted to Eugenie with a personalized handwritten note, mysteriously surfaced for sale on eBay. Eugenie was reportedly horrified by the discovery, as she had no idea how it got there.
