Prince Harry ‘Using Familial Issues’ to Promote Grief Masterclass, Claims Royal Expert
The royal commentator claimed that the Duke does not seek reconciliation but rather commercial gain.
Prince Harry’s GQ interview focused on his hope of reconciling with his father, King Charles, and elder brother, Prince William. The Duke, who stepped down from royal duties in 2020, is back in the UK after spending almost six years in California. Despite his closeness to the royal family, he has struggled to find the right words to help bury the rift. However, royal experts believe Harry is trying to profit from his estrangement.

“With everything else that’s going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile. That’s the key point,” Harry stated during the interview.
However, royal commentator Emily Andrews claimed that, through his remarks, the Duke is promoting his latest grief masterclass, which he released last week in collaboration with famed neuroscientist Dr. Mary-Frances O'Connor. "He's done one with a very eminent American neuroscientist on how to deal with grief. But of course he's asking us all to pay for that. So it is quite uncomfortable when he's kind of using his own kind of familial issues to promote his commercial activities. And therein, I think, lies the massive problem," Andrews highlighted while appearing on Daytime on 5 with Storm and Alexis. The royal expert added that the palace would want the Duke to keep it private.

"And I think from the palace's point of view, what they would like is a period of silence, maybe from Prince Harry to him stop talking about his relationship with his father and his brother and his family. I mean, the reason he gave this interview to GQ was because he's promoting, uh, a master class that he's recorded in grief," she noted.
Royal expert Carol shared similar views and said William is furious and has no intention of reconciling. She labeled the Sussexes Nottingham walkabout a 'Quasi Royal' event and insisted that it likely angered the palace further. Andrews also debunked rumors that William hasn't been speaking with his younger brother. "Having said that, though, to your point about why or how we know that Prince William isn't talking to Harry?

"Well, I know that because the sources in team Sussex have told me that. So, that hasn't come from Kensington Palace. That has come, I know that, from sort of Harry's side that Harry has texted his brother and has said, like many times and has had no reply. So, that information getting out into the public domain has come from the Sussex side, not from Kensington Palace."
Andrews noted that Harry is supported by a skilled PR team in the UK and emphasized the importance of providing his children with a British education. However, she concluded by critiquing Harry's assumption that he can operate the same way he did six years ago, saying he is no longer a working royal.
