Prince William Has an Oopsie Moment With His Umbrella — and Prince George's Reaction Is Hilarious
This wholesome moment perfectly displayed the beautiful relationship shared by the father and son.
Prince George marked his first day at Eton College on Tuesday, September 8, and his proud parents, Prince William and Princess Kate, were right there with him for the special occasion. However, his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, couldn’t make it because they were likely getting ready for their own first days back at school. This was a grand day for Kensington Palace, and they even released several incredible portraits of the young Prince in his uniform to mark the fact that the 13-Year-old Prince is following in his father’s footsteps. In fact, even the rainy day couldn’t stop the Waleses from being photographed as they walked in together, in style.
For this occasion, the Prince and his father opted for a dark navy-toned blazer with matching pants, and a light blue crisp shirt. Beyond this, William wore a blue tie, while George opted for a polka-dotted tie. Meanwhile, Middleton wore a stylish green-hued calf-length dress with statement accessories. Both Middleton and William were also seen carrying classic black umbrellas as they walked right beside their son. The Princess was able to walk ahead with poise, while perfectly managing her umbrella. However, it seems like William ended up having a bit of an unexpected mishap.
All because of the windy and rainy weather, William actually ended up having a rather ‘oopsie’ moment where he was photographed while struggling with his umbrella amid the heavy downpour. According to the photo, it’s clear that his umbrella ended up inside out and got stuck as he tried to fix it while walking through the college. At this moment, his son, George, couldn’t help but laugh at the ‘dad-coded’ moment that William was having. According to reports, he eventually gave up on this and closed the umbrella.
Following this, he was seen walking beside George, without one, opting to get wet rather than continuing the ‘fight’ as he went ahead to meet with the headmaster and the provost. This super wholesome moment between the Prince of Wales and his son perfectly captures the beautiful, loving relationship they share. Soon after, the new Etonian also changed into his official uniform, giving everyone a glimpse of just how much he looks like his father. It’s quite clear that there is a fun and understanding bond, which ties the Waleses together.
