Prince Harry's Reunion With King Charles Hasn't Happened Yet — and Royal Rift Isn't The Reason

It has been over a month since Prince Harry returned to his home country, and while many might have expected a family reunion, nothing of that sort happened. Instead, his distance from his family, especially from his brother, only became more evident. On the brighter side, he reportedly had a telephonic conversation with his father, King Charles, during the first week of his return, but they have yet to meet face-to-face. So what's the reason for the King maintaining distance from his own son?
While many would assume it is William's fault, that is not the case. As per Hello, the father and son spoke on the phone at the end of August. The call is significant because it shows that communication between the two has continued, even though another face-to-face meeting has not yet taken place. The Duke last met his father in July when he, along with his kids and wife, Meghan Markle, visited Highgrove House in Gloucestershire to spend time with Charles and Queen Camilla.
Evidently, Harry's relationship with his father is currently cordial, and a family rift is not the reason they are not meeting. The biggest practical issue appears to have been Charles' location. For the unversed, the King has spent much of September in Scotland, returning to London only briefly at the beginning of the month for a handful of engagements. That has made a meeting with Harry considerably more difficult.
Additionally, since his return, Harry has been based at a private residence in the Cotswolds, making the distance between him and his father a factor. That being said, Harry's relationship with his brother is still in the puddle, but Charles is not letting it impact his decisions.
With Charles spending much of September in Scotland and Harry settling into his family's new life in the Cotswolds, geography and royal schedules appear to have played a bigger role than William in keeping the father and son apart.
While Harry and Meghan are currently settling, they seem to have hit a roadblock. The Sussexes faced a security scare on Monday after two men with backpacks in a white van were spotted outside their kids' school monitoring students.
The men were reportedly paparazzi, and condemning the act, their spokesperson said, "The decision by photographers to conduct themselves in this way around a school is extraordinarily reckless."
