Prince Harry Reveals the 10-Day Rule That He Follows To Keep His Married Life Intact
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are back in the UK along with their children after spending almost six years in the US.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have completed eight years of married bliss, and the Duke has just revealed the reason behind their strong bond. Harry gave a glimpse into his private life during an exclusive Mental Health Day interview with neuroscientist Dr. Mary-Frances O’Connor. He highlighted the one golden rule that defined his commitment and dedication to his family.
"The biggest factor for me is the energy and the joy and happiness that I get being with my family, especially our kids, and the joy and happiness I get by being on the ground for my work," he revealed on the MasterClass, Redefining Grief: Building Resilience Through Loss. "The key to finding the joy and happiness balance is no more than 10 days away from my wife and kids," he added.
"This is balancing my work and the purpose behind that, as well as being a dad and a husband and the sort of multi-identity elements coming together," he said, Page Six reported. The Sussexes are back in the UK for an extended period. Last month, Harry attended the inaugural Invictus Spirit Awards at the Old Royal Naval College without the Duchess, who remained home with their children. During an interview, Harry humorously responded to questions about his life since returning to the U.K., notably avoiding sharing personal highlights, InStyle magazine reported.
"My highlight so far? Oh, I don’t know. Would I dare share it with you?" he stated. "It’s been eventful," he noted, referring to their hurried US exit. "But, you know, we’re getting stuck into the work. Kids are in school. We’re happy. And, as I said, it’s great to be back on British soil."
Harry and Markle's deep bond shone once again when the Duke immediately called his wife after performing a daring charity skydiving stunt. He was in Toronto, Canada, joined by the grandson of a World War II veteran. Harry mentioned that he didn't need to convince her (Markle) to make the jump, but she felt relieved once they had landed, as the ascent had taken a considerable amount of time.
"I think she was like, ‘Are they down yet? Are they down yet?’" he jokingly mimicked her, InStyle magazine reported. Meanwhile, for their eighth wedding anniversary, the Duchess had posted a loved-up image of them while cutting a decadent cake.
