Prince William and Prince Harry are known to have always been quite competitive. In the wake of their feud, their long-running rivalry has only grown. Even with an ocean between them, Harry is still thinking of ways to upstage his brother, and is reportedly eyeing a global diva who might help his case. The diva is none other than Jennifer Lopez, whom Harry wants to 'reel in' for the Invictus Games.

As per reports, Harry’s competitive streak has kicked into overdrive after watching William pose with major celebrities at high-profile charity events. Recently, William and pop star Kylie Minogue posed for photos at the 2025 Earthshot Prize Awards in Rio de Janeiro, where he thanked the singer for her contribution towards his social undertakings. He also frequently teams up with stars such as Hannah Waddingham, Cate Blanchett, and other celebrities, influencing his brother to follow his lead. As one insider put it, it “lit a fire under him," and the Duke is now allegedly networking to rope in Lopez for the 2027 Invictus.

Invictus Games is an international multi-sport event for the wounded, injured, and sick service members or veterans. It aims to provide them with a recovery path. The Duke of Sussex founded it in 2014. "If [Harry] can land her [Lopez] to make an appearance at an Invictus event, it would be phenomenal for the charity and a thrill for him too. He’s reaching out to everyone that he’s got a connection to; it’s not just Lopez that he’s trying to lure in," shared a source to The Express

An insider claimed Harry is 'thrilled' at the prospect of Lopez joining the Invictus lineup and remains a little starstruck by her. Reports from 2020 suggested that Harry and Meghan Markle had bonded a little with Lopez, even enjoying a double date with her and then-fiancé Alex Rodriguez. While it’s still unclear whether the superstar will sign on, it is very much a possibility. The next Invictus Games will take place in Birmingham, which beat six international cities with its strong commitment to supporting veterans and serving personnel.

The Invictus Games Foundation previously narrowed its shortlist to Birmingham and Washington, DC, for the 2027 Games. After detailed presentations from both teams earlier this year, Birmingham ultimately secured the hosting rights. Traditionally, the Invictus Games feature a major celebrity performing at both the opening and closing ceremonies, adding to the event’s global profile and emotional impact. With speculation swirling about who might take the stage in 2027, attention has turned to whether a superstar like Lopez could join in, especially given Harry's reported eagerness to bring her on board. But, while Harry may be looking for ways to outshine his elder brother, it’s unclear whether Markle knows about his efforts to recruit Lopez or his long-standing fascination with the superstar.
