Megyn Kelly Defends Martha Stewart Against Meghan Markle — But Her Dig Goes Even Further
Kelly remarked that the Duchess wouldn't visit any father unless he had a crown, implying her limited interest in familial relationships.
Meghan Markle allegedly broke a major code of conduct during her recent outing in California. After visiting King Charles at Highgrove last month, the details of their meeting were strictly meant to be confidential. However, lifestyle guru Martha Stewart made a shocking revelation that Markle was caught spilling the beans about her intimate audience with the monarch during a dinner event they attended together. Meanwhile, the host of the glamorous soirée later clarified to Page Six that Stewart's description of the moment was "simply untrue." As the controversy continues to blow over, Stewart has found an unlikely A-list Hollywood celebrity who has come out in support of, and criticism of, Markle's agenda.
"Martha doesn't spew s***," Kelly stated while defending the lifestyle icon during a recent podcast episode. "She gives it straight." While responding to Markle's allegations that Stewart must have been "confused," The Megyn Kelly Show host gave a curt reply: "She's as sharp as a tack." Kelly suggested that the Duchess had orchestrated a statement to undermine Stewart following the dinner.
"Meghan can’t have anything written about her without filing a lawsuit, threatening a lawsuit, having her people call," Kelly further stated, highlighting that Stewart only "said something innocuous about Markle". The topic did not end there, as Kelly's guest Maureen Callahan criticized the ex-royal, describing her as "her own worst enemy," and backed Stewart's account, referring to the Duchess as a "ghoul" and "child." Callahan then scrutinized Markle for her estrangement from her father, Thomas Markle, who recently had leg amputation surgery.
Kelly remarked that the Duchess wouldn't visit any father unless he had a crown, implying her limited interest in familial relationships. However, Kelly also suggested that Charles is likely to reconcile fully with the Sussexes and allow them back into the royal fold. "I think the King is gonna allow it. I think he’s gonna let him back in," Kelly reasoned. "He’s a dad before he’s a king." Stewart had also criticized Markle's transition from actress to princess to a homemaking television host, remarking that such a shift is challenging and contradictory. She noted that Markle's Netflix lifestyle series was canceled after two seasons, suggesting that this career path does not logically align with the ex-royal's ambitions. This is not the first time the two personalities have clashed; in July 2025, Stewart had expressed concerns about Markle's cooking expertise, noting that the Duchess lacked authenticity.
Meanwhile, Kelly had previously remarked on the Sussexes' views regarding the Prince and Princess of Wales, stating that they are keenly observing Prince William and Princess Kate, who are widely admired for their charm. Kelly suggested that this admiration may have caused some irritation for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as their own efforts appear less appreciated in comparison. And maybe because of this, the ex-royals might be planning on reversing their 'Megxit'.
