Meghan Markle’s True Feelings About Life in the UK Revealed — Sources Say She’s 'Doing Well'
Meghan Markle is seemingly looking forward to her new endeavours in the UK, including an upcoming joint appearance, after returning.
After a rocky start, things seem to be finally falling into place for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in the UK. The latter has completed several solo appearances, As Ever launched their holiday collection last week, and Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have seemingly adjusted to their new surroundings. With their first joint appearance after their return on the horizon, the couple naturally has a lot to look forward to.
Sources recently told PEOPLE! that when the family of four, plus two dogs, first arrived in the UK, Harry and Markle’s primary focus was on “establishing a routine and getting the kids settled into school”. With the first box on the agenda successfully ticked, the pair is now “excited to focus more on their work and the projects that matter to them”. Markle, who remains a divisive figure in the UK, is reportedly “doing well”.
Sources claimed that the Duchess of Sussex is “keeping busy, as she always does” and is in “close contact” with her Montecito friends. Although she must certainly miss Mahjong afternoons and grabbing quick bites with them, she has a positive perspective on her new life in the UK. “She has a great attitude about it all. The kids have adjusted well, and that’s the most important thing to her,” sources said.
The Sussexes seem to have also fallen into a sweet routine in the British countryside. During the week, the kids are busy with school, while Harry and Markle are “working”. However, the family spends “weekends together”. From the few snippets the Duchess shared on Instagram, the two children have seemingly found adventurous ways to explore their new surroundings. They were spotted cycling together, taking walks, and riding in mini tractors with their father.
The family’s usual schedule may see a change this week as Harry and Markle are set to travel to Nottingham. Interestingly, their first royal engagement was in the same city back in 2017. At the time, they had conducted a walkabout. This time around, they will be reconnecting with old causes that mean a lot to them, with visits scheduled to the Hubb Community Kitchen, Community Recording Studio, and Epic Partners.
While Markle was spotted in the UK catching meals with friends, this will be her first official appearance since her comeback. The last time she was seen in public was during the late Queen Elizabeth’s funeral service in 2022.
