Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have moved back to the UK after spending almost six years in California. Their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are expected to start school in the UK in September. While many were excited about their return, critics were upset that they abandoned their Montecito chickens. Now Markle, for the first time, has reacted to all the chatter with a funny video.

Markle and Harry have not yet publicly addressed the move themselves. Still, the former appears to have subtly reacted to the growing chatter surrounding their return, and she did it in a rather unexpected way. The Duchess of Sussex recently took to her Instagram account, sharing a video about her beloved chickens. The video featured a tea towel bearing the line, “People who take care of chickens are literally chicken tenders.”

While recording the video, Markle could also be heard giggling in the background as the song Chicken Fried by the Zac Brown Band played. The post comes after reports suggested that Markle and Harry will likely leave their flock of chickens behind when they move to the UK. Even if true, they are not abandoning them. The birds will reportedly remain at their Montecito home, where staff will continue looking after them while the family is away.

Their two dogs, Pula and Mia, are expected to make the journey across the Atlantic with them.

Harry and Markle landed in the UK on August 26 and will reportedly be moving into a non-royal estate in the UK. The Suits alum is expected to continue running As Ever from the UK. There are also reports of her joining the cast of The Gentlemen season 3, but nothing as of now is confirmed about the project.
