Meghan Markle Regrets Thinking of Lauren Sánchez as ‘Loud' and 'Thirsty’, Claims Source

Meghan Markle already boasts a swoonworthy circle of celebrity friends, but sources claim she is eyeing one more high-profile addition. The Duchess of Sussex, who once reportedly dismissed businesswoman Lauren Sánchez as a flashy tabloid fixture, is now said to be making amends. And why the sudden change of heart? Insiders say Sánchez's high-profile marriage to Jeff Bezos has elevated her status among Hollywood's elite circles, connections Markle is allegedly eager to tap into as she expands her social reach.
On his Substack, Naughty But Nice, royal columnist Rob Shuter claimed to have spoken to various sources who provided insight on Markle's alleged view of Sánchez before her marriage. One said, "Meghan thought Lauren was loud, thirsty, and painfully performative. She smiled on her face, then tore her apart behind her back. Lauren was never someone Meghan took seriously." Asserting how the Duchess never wanted to be the kind of woman Sánchez was, Shuter revealed that Markle, like most in her circle, believed that Sánchez's union with Bezos was just a 'glamorous distraction' and a 'scandal with an expiration date.'
Interestingly, Sánchez didn't disappear; she instead became one of the faces in Hollywood's most elite circles. Now, Mrs. Bezos is rubbing shoulders with the likes of Anna Wintour, the Met Gala, billionaires, moguls, and kings, which has reportedly not escaped Markle's wandering eye. An insider stressed, "Meghan is suddenly sending handwritten notes, curated gifts, homemade jam, luxury treats. It's classic Meghan: polished, strategic, and impossible to miss." However, they argued that her alleged intentions were not to form a friendship, but rather to make a 'social correction.' "Lauren reminded Meghan of Meghan...One married a billionaire pretending to be a prince. The other married a prince pretending to have billions."
In a similar vein, a recent report by OK! magazine echoed these sentiments, with a source alleging that Markle 'snubbed' Sánchez by deliberately skipping her nuptials in Italy. They said, "Meghan was invited to things by Lauren and didn't want to go. She didn't want to be seen with her because she thought she was trashy." To add insult to injury, they spilled that the Duchess was allegedly scrambling over her loss of celebrity friends, adding, "I hear she's [Markle] spiraling badly because she knows nothing is working. The whole thing about her [As Ever] stuff selling out isn't true anymore."
On that note, Markle is allegedly also reeling from her fallout with Anna Wintour. Weighing in on their supposed feud, an insider told Page Six that once Markle worked with British Vogue editor Edward Enninful on the publication's Forces for Change issue in 2019, things went south. "Meghan pledged her allegiance to Enninful, which p----- off Anna. Anna hates her. Meghan doesn't want to pay and never returns things." They continued that Wintour would have allegedly hated how the Sussexes handled their exit from the Firm and pained the royal family.
