Meghan Markle Not ‘Getting Booked’ for Reality TV—Insider Clarifies Following Former Agent’s Claims
Meghan Markle’s reality TV plans have sparked fresh buzz after her former agent Ari Emanuel suggested she was getting booked for television projects.
Meghan Markle is back in the spotlight over her next career move. Since her return to the UK, her future plans have been a major topic of discussion, particularly after her former agent, Ari Emanuel, suggested she was getting booked for reality television and other TV projects. While his claims raised eyebrows, an insider close to the Duchess of Sussex has pushed back, clarifying that a fly-on-the-wall reality show is not on her agenda.

For the unversed, Emanuel confirmed that he had stepped away from personally representing Markle, though she continues to be represented by other agents at William Morris Endeavor (WME). Soon after stepping down from representing Markle, he, on The Megyn Kelly Show, claimed that the Duchess was "actually getting booked" for television and reality TV projects. Now refuting the claim, an insider spoke with the Australian outlet news.com.au.
The insider shared, “As Ari himself says, he’s not involved in the day-to-day business of Meghan’s career. She’s looking at a lot of exciting scripted and non-scripted opportunities, but the idea that she might do a fly-on-the-wall reality TV show is for the birds." This directly counters Emanuel's own statement, "They're doing stuff. I don't know about it. She is finding her voice—I am happy for her." He added, "I think there's a bunch of things that our people are doing for her now," while repeatedly clarifying, "I'm just not involved."

Emanuel and his team signed Markle in April 2023. However, he confirmed last month that he had decided to step back from personally representing her due to a heavy workload. Explaining his decision to step aside, the agent shared, "For me, I just had a lot on my plate … And it was better to let [other agents] deal with her and execute against her needs and her desires. And I’m happy that everybody’s doing it for me.”

He elaborated, “I didn’t want it occupying my brain. And when I’m involved in somebody constantly, when I wake up in the morning, clients occupy my brain; that’s what happens. And I just didn’t want to do that anymore. Having nothing about her, I just needed to move on to other things I was doing.”
