It has been over a week since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry returned to the UK, and ever since, they have maintained a low profile. Many of their fans are awaiting Markle's first public spotting in Harry's home country, a place the actress previously expressed a dislike for years. However, according to a royal expert, Markle's big UK appearance might not be on the cards anytime soon.

Harry, on the one hand, is preparing for a string of charity engagements in the UK. Although initial reports suggested Markle could join him at an upcoming Diana Award event in London, it might not be the case. The possibility was swiftly shut down after a royal editor went directly to the Sussexes’ representatives for clarification. Speaking on The Royals with Roya and Kate podcast, Kate Mansey, assistant editor at The Times, shared that while Markle will be “at Harry’s side” at the event, she won't face the cameras.

The expert detailed, "Now, I went to the Sussex's and said, 'What do you make of these reports? Is it correct that we're going to expect to see Harry and Megan at these at this event together?" And they said, "Absolutely not." Reacting to the info, co-host Roya Nikkah responded, "They're not going, are they?" The report also claimed that Harry and Markle could attend a dinner for the Diana Award at Raffles London at The OWO on September 18. However, the couple’s spokesperson later confirmed they are not scheduled to attend.

Markle, for the time being, is maintaining an unusually low profile, leaving many intrigued. According to a Sunday Times report, the Duchess is currently focused on helping the children settle into their new life, with a source elaborating, “There are a lot of things to arrange. Meghan is totally focused on getting the kids settled for now." Furthermore, according to Mansey, the Duchess' absence may not simply be a coincidence. She opined, "In terms of PR? It's clever, isn't it? Because everybody's expecting to see her." She explained that Markle “knows very well” the value of a public appearance and would be choosing her appearances “very carefully.”

Further talking about Markle's lifestyle brand, As Ever, she added that the Duchess would surely keep working on it. "Surely she will. I mean, they're trademarked, aren't they?" Explaining Markle's move, Mansey elaborated, "She did that quite a few years ago. So, she obviously sees Britain as a market, as she did in Australia when she went to Australia on that. She sees Australia as a market. She's got big ambitions, hasn't she, for that brand. That's not going anywhere." May what be the case, for now, however, Markle appears content to stay behind the scenes.
