Meghan Markle Just Made Her Boldest Confession About Harry: 'My Boundaries Became Stronger'
Whether during her public appearances or in interviews, Meghan Markle never fails to speak highly of Prince Harry and the life the two have built together. In a recent interview, she again offered insights into her life, specifically how she keeps herself steady after years of public scrutiny. Markle began by sharing that, despite the attention, her sense of self has only grown stronger over time.
Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar, Markle said, “I think my boundaries became stronger. You find different ways to protect yourself.” Discussing the role her husband, whom she refers to simply as 'H,' played in this journey, she stressed, “He loves me so boldly, fully, and he also has a different perspective because he sees media that I wouldn’t. No one in the world loves me more than him, so I know he’s always going to make sure that he has my back.” The Duchess of Sussex also gushed about Harry’s playful curiosity and how that has changed her life.
She described him as "someone who just has this childlike wonder and playfulness," adding that it heavily shaped the early stages of their relationship. "That’s translated into every part of our life. Even in business, I want us to play and have fun and explore and be creative," she emphasized. This shared understanding is reflected in the Sussexes' post-royal life. Since leaving the Firm in 2020, the husband-wife duo have collaborated on a number of joint ventures, such as the Archewell Foundation, and documentary projects like Heart of Invictus and Masaka Kids: A Rhythm Within, to name a few.
Markle also reflected on Harry’s reaction to seeing her return to a familiar creative routine. “It’s almost like a honeymoon period again,” she added, noting, “I think he loves watching as much as I love doing that creative process. It’s just been fun. This is who I’ve always been.” This doesn't come as a huge surprise, given that Harry has always been a doting husband. He's said to have had a gentlemanly reaction to Markle making her Hollywood comeback after an eight-year hiatus. The Duchess is set to play herself in Amazon MGM’s Close Personal Friends, and those close to the couple have described Harry as nothing but encouraging.
A friend of the Duke told The Mirror, "Prince Harry is, of course, really supportive and quite simply wants Meghan to do whatever brings her joy.” Apart from the steady love and support she receives from Harry, Markle also talked about how her kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have allowed her to be her 'authentic' self. “I love being able to do both," she said. "To play in the sandbox with my kids and to play in the front row at a show. I think the moment that you start making all of your personal decisions based on external judgment, then you lose your authenticity."
