Meghan Markle Could Make Rare Appearance in London Alongside Prince Harry for Charity Gala
While many are looking forward to the event, it might also be the first time Harry's wife, Meghan Markle, could turn up by his side.
Prince Harry has long been vocal about causes close to his heart, having repeatedly spoken out in support of Ukraine. Staying true to his stance, the Prince is all set to attend the United for Freedom Ukrainian charity fundraiser gala at the Imperial War Museum in London. It will be a private, exclusive gathering, with roughly 120 guests in attendance. Each ticket for the event was priced at £1,000 (approximately $1,319.72), with every penny going to prominent Ukrainian organizations, including the Superhumans Center, which provides reconstructive surgery and prosthetics for war victims.
While many are looking forward to the event, all eyes are on Harry, and interestingly it might also be the first time his wife, Meghan Markle, could turn up by his side. This will be a first since their UK return. Elaborating on it, the Daily Mail added, "Prince Harry has always been vocal in his support for Ukraine, so we’re so excited that he’s on board,’ a cheerleader for the event tells me, assuring me that it’ll be ‘an incredible evening of fundraising."
The outlet further, in its print edition, detailed that the Freedom Ukrainian charity fundraiser gala might also be the first official event of Markle in the UK, since their relocation. The source continued, "His presence will play a big part on the night—and if Meghan comes, it will be a bonus. We’re excited to be a part of the duke’s next chapter in the UK. We love his charitable spirit." While there is no official confirmation as to whether the Duchess will attend, industry insiders note that the possibility remains high.
Two funds are set to benefit from the evening, including the Superhumans Center, which has received support from Harry, Sting, and Bear Grylls. The organization has reportedly raised $130 million so far, helping fund thousands of operations and prosthetic limbs for people affected by the war in Ukraine. The evening will also feature dinner, remarks from special guests, networking opportunities, and an auction.
Among the prizes is a week-long stay on Richard Branson’s Moskito Island. Additionally, Harry is also donating a signed copy of his memoir, Spare, for the auction. However, Markle’s attendance in question is keeping their fans on the edge of their seats.
