Lady Louise’s Boyfriend Steps Out with Edward and Sophie to Celebrate Major Milestone
Lady Louise received the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Gold Award with her boyfriend, Felix da Silva-Clamp, cheering her on.
Lady Louise celebrated a major milestone on July 2 when Buckingham Palace announced that she had graduated from the University of St Andrews with a degree in English. Just a day later, she added another feather to her cap by receiving the Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Award from her proud father, Prince Edward. While the honor garnered significant headlines, royal watchers were equally intrigued by a rare appearance alongside her boyfriend, Felix da Silva-Clamp, which offered a fleeting glimpse into her private life away from the spotlight.
Louise and Silva-Clamp were photographed smiling alongside Duchess Sophie as they listened to Edward's address to the crowd. Hosted at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the annual Gold Award celebrations honored young people across Scotland and northern England who completed volunteering, physical recreation, skills development, and a residential project as part of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award program. Silva-Clamp's rare appearance at the family occasion suggested he has been warmly accepted by Louise's parents, highlighting the growing seriousness of their relationship.
According to Tatler, Louise and Silva-Clamp crossed paths at the University of St Andrews, where both were students. Born in 2004, Silva-Clamp spent much of his childhood in Australia, attending Melbourne Grammar School before enrolling at St. Andrews. Their relationship reportedly blossomed while appearing together in the student-written play Dragon Fever, a fantasy mystery staged at the Byre Theatre. Along with yesterday's event, he has previously supported his girlfriend at the Sandringham Horse Driving Trials and the National Carriage Driving Championships in 2025. Despite his association with the late Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter, he prefers to stay out of the public eye and keep their relationship private.
As for Louise's special honor at the event, she joined fellow young achievers in a pale blue dress, smiling for photos alongside her father. As reported by HELLO!, after speaking about the bronze, silver, and gold DofE awards, Edward pointed to his daughter and quipped, "We've got someone else who's actually done all three." After guiding Louise across to where the other guests stood, he handed her the framed DofE certificate and proudly added, "It's all a bit staged, but it's just to prove that you actually did get it. Many congratulations and very well done." Between a major university graduation, a prestigious royal award, and a rare public appearance with her boyfriend, it has undoubtedly been a landmark week for Lady Louise.
