While speaking to Oprah Winfrey in March, Meghan Markle touched upon her relationship with sister-in-law Kate Middleton and even claimed that the mom-of-three made her cry right before her wedding to Prince Harry.

However, royal expert Camilla Tominey said that Kate handled everything like a pro. "Despite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Oprah Winfrey interview, when Kate was accused of making Meghan cry during a bridesmaid’s dress fitting and failing to support her, Kate rose decidedly above it all," she wrote in Stella magazine.

"Setting aside any personal resentment she may still feel about Harry and Meghan’s televised two-hour tell-all, Kate put her best foot forward in trying to carve a path to reconciliation between the brothers. Few would have blamed her for giving Harry the cold shoulder, yet she clearly resolved that the situation needed to be appeased rather than aggravated," Tominey added.

Following Meghan's explosive interview, the two don't seem like they will be making up anytime soon.

“[Kate] didn’t like that she was called out by name when many of the other members of the royal family were not,” another source said. “Kate also did not like the implications that she and other members of the royal family were jealous of Meghan, that was never the case.”

“Kate’s biggest fear is the Meghan will reveal the contents of anything she says. There is no trust after what Meghan did. It is clear that Meghan shares private conversations with reporters and TV personalities, which makes it very hard to move forward. Kate would pick up the phone in a second if she thought it would help, but having another private call leaked to the press isn’t going to help anyone,” an insider exclusively told The Royal Observer.

“Kate wants peace, but you cannot blame her for being guarded and reluctant,” added the insider. “Meghan is a big red flag. How do you make friends with someone that you cannot trust? Meghan has done a tell-all before and will do it again. There are real concerns about her repeating anything she says to her friends in the media.”
