Kate Middleton Proves She’s Just Like Us With This Hilarious Revelation
Kate Middleton recently made an amusing admission about her forgetfulness, and it is hilariously endearing.
Kate Middleton has been busy with back-to-back public engagements this week. After a poignant outing with Prince William in Leeds on Tuesday, she surprised senior citizens with an unexpected visit to West Sussex Minibus on Wednesday. During a heartwarming conversation, the Princess of Wales shared an amusing revelation about the one thing she frequently forgets to keep track of while doing public appearances.
The West Sussex Minibus is a volunteer-led community transport organization that assists those who struggle to access public transport. Supporting this important cause, Middleton took part in picking up senior citizens from their homes via minibus and, of course, engaged in heartwarming chats with the passengers. While helping the 94-year-old Stella Drewett take a seat next to her in the minibus, the beloved royal made an amusing confession about her own absent-mindedness. "Everyone always runs after me (shouting), 'You forgot your handbag,’” she joked, as reported by HELLO!
Given the Princess’s wonderful collection of handbags, nobody would want her losing even a single one. For her visit to West Sussex this week, she carried a maroon Smythson leather cross-body bag. The rich pop of color served as the perfect addition to her ensemble of a charcoal trench coat, matching trousers, and grey pussy-bow blouse. The style icon completed her look with a fuss-free ponytail, a stylish pivot from her usual open hair preference.
Funnily enough, handbags are seemingly not the only things she struggles to keep an “eye on.” She previously revealed to podcaster Giovanna Fletcher that she is really bad at keeping track of her phone. "She told me that she was notoriously bad at keeping an eye on her phone," Fletcher said. "She always loses her phone. All of her Christmas presents that year were related to her keeping track of her phone. It was all about her not losing her phone."
Although the Princess of Wales might occasionally misplace her belongings, she never forgets how to make those around her feel special. And it was clearly evident from her West Sussex outing. The royal was seen laughing with senior citizens, playing with little kids, clicking selfies with fans, and petting dogs during the outing. Her natural charm and warmth explain why onlookers always line up in the streets and gather outside public engagement venues to catch a glimpse of her.
After a busy September, fans will be eagerly awaiting the princess's next public engagement. Meanwhile, she may be preparing for a major international work trip later this year to Mumbai, India, for the upcoming Earthshot Prize ceremony.
