Kate Middleton may have been reminded of Prince George during her recent West Sussex visit due to one cute moment.
Kate Middleton is a certified ‘Children’s Princess,’ effortlessly connecting with every little kid she meets, and her visit to West Sussex on Wednesday was no exception. During the surprise outing, the Princess of Wales spoke with several children who came to meet her, but her sweet interaction with one-year-old Albie Botley-Greenslade completely stole the show. The heartwarming moment may as well have reminded the mother of three of a special memory she shared with Prince George when he was just a toddler.
Middleton and a very young George were once spotted dancing excitedly together during a birthday party, with little George looking adorable in a miniature version of Prince William’s flight suit, adding to the cuteness factor. The then-Duchess of Cambridge sat on her knees, twirling the little prince, dancing with him, and affectionately fixing his floppy blonde hair. The royal, who was sporting a casual look with a messy bun, looked happy to spend these quality moments with her son and even directed him to freeze when the music paused for a beat. A similar scene was recreated when the Princess of Wales met little Botley-Greenslade on Wednesday. In her signature style, she crouched down to talk to him and gently held his hand. As the toddler danced and played, the royal grinned warmly, carefully supporting him. The adorable moment would have certainly brought back memories of her own children, especially of the one she and William dropped off at Eton College earlier this month.
George is the first of the Wales children to fly out of the nest and begin secondary education. With this new chapter, the family of five has undoubtedly navigated a period of transition as the 13-year-old boards at the prestigious institution. The once-chubby toddler is now a smart teenager who towers over his mother.
The Princess of Wales’ unexpected public appearance was for an important cause. She visited West Sussex Minibus, a volunteer-led community transport organization that supports and helps those who can’t access public transport easily because of isolation, mobility issues, or financial difficulties. She rode in a minibus and even surprised an elderly woman. The popular royal was seen chatting and laughing with senior citizens over some treats. She also met with members of the public, clicked selfies with them, and even petted dogs during the eventful appearance.
Her Sussex visit marked her second consecutive public appearance this week. On Tuesday, she travelled to Leeds with Prince William to visit the AMT Headingley Stadium to honor the legacy of rugby player Rob Burrow, who suffered from MND.
