Is Prince Harry Taking Archie and Lilibet to Visit Diana’s Grave? Royal Fans Spot One Telling Clue
Some royal fans are convinced Harry could also use the trip to introduce Archie and Lilibet to an important part of their family history.
Prince Harry will finally be returning to the UK this July, and he will not be alone this time. According to reports, the Duke is set to make the journey with his wife, Meghan Markle, and two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. However, this one detail has convinced royal fans that the family might be planning to visit Princess Diana's final resting place at Althorp.
Although nothing has been confirmed, reports have been circulating that the Sussex family will be arriving in the UK within weeks. Harry is scheduled to travel back home in July for a special "one-year-to-go" countdown event celebrating the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham. This will be Archie and Lilibet’s first visit to the UK in four years. Moreover, there has also been speculation about a possible reunion with King Charles during their stay there.
Amid all the chatter surrounding the visit, some royal fans are convinced Harry could also use the trip to introduce Archie and Lilibet to an important part of their family history. The rumors center around Althorp, the Spencer family estate where Princess Diana is buried. A few eagle-eyed fans have noticed that the estate will remain closed on 10 and 11 July, as per the official website. So, users online are convinced that a trip to Diana’s grave is also on the schedule for the Sussexes.
The trip to his mother’s grave is of personal significance to Harry, who has been outspoken about keeping Diana’s memory alive for his children. A visit to Althorp would give Archie and Lilibet a chance to connect with their family history, especially Lilibet, whose middle name, Diana, was chosen as a tribute to their late grandmother.
Nevertheless, this does not confirm that the family will be visiting, with some fans pointing out that the dates appear to be part of Althorp's standard fixture in their schedule to accommodate private family use or internal maintenance. Only time will tell whether Harry and his family will make the trip to Diana's final resting place.
For the unversed, Althorp is far more than just Diana's final resting place. The sprawling Northamptonshire estate has belonged to the Spencer family for more than 500 years and is now looked after by the late Princess’ younger brother, Charles Spencer. It was also where she spent much of her childhood.
Diana was laid to rest on a small island in the estate's lake in 1997, shortly after her tragic death in a car crash in Paris at the age of 36.
