Insider Reveals What Meghan Really Thinks of Harry’s Rift With Royal Family: ‘There’s Clearly No...'
The insider claimed that Meghan Markle has a rather interesting outlook on Harry's ongoing feud with the royal family.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s relationship with the royal family remains frayed since they stepped down as senior royals in 2020. Harry’s explosive claims in his memoir and, most recently, his BBC interview have reportedly severed all 'trust'. Now, an insider has revealed the true state of the feud, claiming that Markle takes a business-like approach to her husband's feud with his family.
Despite Harry’s public plea for reconciliation, sources claim it is highly unlikely that the royal family would mend ties with him. The insider told People magazine, “They’re aware of everything going on in England, but they’re being left out of the details — there’s clearly no trust.” They added that Markle, who is focused on the future, “is very business about it.” The source dished that Harry, meanwhile, remains emotionally tethered to his royal past. Another source added that the Duchess “wishes her husband could feel less burdened by the past and more present in the life they’ve built together.”
Last month, the Duke of Sussex, in his bombshell BBC interview, said, “Life is precious. I don't know how much longer my father has, he won't speak to me because of this security stuff. It would be nice to reconcile.” Despite his best efforts, royal author Tom Bower claimed that Markle has made her stance clear on a potential royal comeback. As reported by OK! magazine, he argued, “So the real problem is that he wants to come back, but they have nowhere to live, because Frogmore Cottage was taken away from him. Also, Meghan doesn't want to come back, and there's no way he's going to split off from her and his children.”
Bower’s claims were also echoed by royal author and close friend of the Sussexes, Omid Scobie. As per The Mirror, Scobie in his book, Endgame, alleged that Markle “never wants to step foot in England again” as she “never really felt at home” during her time there. He further claimed that Markle “never wants to be involved in the British monarchy again.” The author has quoted the Duke of Sussex as having said, “I'm ready to move on past it. Whether we get an apology or accountability, who knows: who really cares at this point?”
Harry’s recent damaging remarks about his family have allegedly deeply hurt Prince William and King Charles. As per People magazine, royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith opined that while the King wishes to reunite with Harry, “the underlying issue is trust.” Smith explained, “The King and William don’t trust Harry and Meghan with any kind of confidential conversation.” Similarly, royal author Catherine Mayer also reasoned, “If you have that level of breach in a family, and you are estranged, you run that risk every day of having something unfathomable to deal with.” Reportedly, William, Queen Camilla, and Kate Middleton are blocking the monarch from reaching out to his younger son.
