Inside Meghan Markle’s All-British Fashion Choices for Milestone Return to Nottingham
The Duchess of Sussex steps out in autumnal burgundy for a joint visit in Nottingham
Meghan Markle favors fashion that embodies comfort and minimalism. Her style is more often dominated by American-chic ensembles rather than traditional English blends. However, to mark her milestone return to Nottingham since 2017, the Duchess perfectly paired pieces from several British designers to create a sophisticated, aristocratic look.

The Sussexes are out on their first official joint engagement in Nottingham, England, since relocating their family back to the UK. Markle preferred to let her fashion sense speak for itself as she was greeted by an enormous crowd. She wore an outfit featuring various British fashion labels, including one from her inaugural royal appearance in the same city after announcing their engagement nearly nine years ago.
The Duchess stunned in an autumn-styled burgundy coat with a matching turtleneck and earrings from British luxury brand Joseph, teamed with a skirt by The Fold London and heels by Jennifer Chamandi, complemented by a high ponytail. Embracing her signature minimalist style, she opted for her Welsh gold wedding band and a Logan Hollowell gold and diamond sleeve over her Oura ring instead of her engagement ring.

Her outfit today resembled her look from December 2017 during her first royal engagement in Nottingham, featuring a similar silhouette with a jacket over a turtleneck and a skirt by designer label Joseph, Town and Country Magazine reported. Meanwhile, Markle was seen participating in various community activities during her visit to the Community Recording Studio (CRS) alongside Prince Harry.
The Duchess, recognized for her role in Suits, was seen enjoying an acting session with CRS students, captivated by their performances, as shared on X. Fans had their own reactions online, with one suggesting the Duchess's acting skills be put to use: "Meghan should have delivered a master class to the students, being a Hollywood actress and all that," @BritLondonE17 said.

Markle then participated in a confidence-building and bracelet-making workshop with a group of little girls at the studio. During their interactions, one participant shared that gymnastics makes her feel most like herself, to which Meghan responded, "Our daughter is doing that too right now. She loves it,” referring sweetly to Princess Lilibet, CNN reported. Speaking for herself, she stated that cooking makes her feel at home: “I feel most like myself when I’m with my family and also when I’m cooking. I love doing that. I love to cook.” Meanwhile, the engagement comes at a time when the Sussexes are still at odds with the royal family.
