Meghan Celebrates 'Entrepreneurial Spirit' — and Subtly Hints How She is Passing It Down to Lilibet
Meghan Markle recently shared a heartwarming video on Instagram, and it may have given away what she would like to pass down to Princess Lilibet.
Ahead of dropping her holiday collection, Meghan Markle took to Instagram to share a heartwarming video of her growth as an entrepreneur. Taking viewers back to her Tig days, the launch of As Ever saw the Duchess of Sussex take fans on a journey through different eras and experiences of her life. However, what appeared to remain consistent throughout was her ambition, one she now seems to be passing on to her daughter, Princess Lilibet.
The five-year-old made a special cameo in her mother’s Instagram reel. In a video snippet from the latest post, Markle is seen cooking what appears to be fruit preserves. Lilibet joined her in the kitchen and seemed to be stirring a spoonful of fruit preserve in a bowl. The Duchess asked her what she thought about the delectable preparation, and the little girl thought it was “beautiful”. The mother of two also posted a picture of them together.
Markle, ever the wordsmith, penned her entrepreneurial growth, from sewing and selling scrunchies in school, selling Girl Scout cookies, putting up lemonade stands, and working in yogurt shops, to starting The Tig and As Ever. She always called back to an old post she had shared on the lifestyle blog that read, “Behind every successful woman is herself.” While she went on to highlight the importance of “a community of love, a squad of support, an amazing team”, her caption and emphasis on childhood experience may subtly hint at what she wants to pass down to Lilibet. She further wrote about As Ever’s journey in the past year, “As I pinch myself looking at how this brand has grown, and as we introduce our holiday collection, I feel very proud and grateful. A huge thanks to my team at As Ever. So proud of what we are creating together. Thanks for helping bring this vision to life.” The lifestyle brand recently launched its limited-edition Advent Calendars for the first time, and Markle has hinted that more “surprises,” seemingly for Thanksgiving and the fall season, are about to drop.
This is not the first time that the Duchess has credited her childhood experiences for nurturing her entrepreneurial spirit. She has spoken fondly about her time as a Girl Scout during her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan. Probably given her emotional connection to the tradition, Markle and Prince Harry even executive-produced Cookie Queens, a documentary about Girl Scouts that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival before its theatrical release this year.
While Markle must certainly be looking forward to her holiday launches, she will also be spending her first holiday season in the UK in several years. This will also be her kids’ first proper holiday celebration across the pond.
