Harry and Meghan's 'Insulting' Demand Left Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian 'Fuming': Source

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, attended the 70th birthday party of socialite Kris Jenner earlier this month. The couple looked stunning as they appeared arm-in-arm for Jenner's lavish James Bond-themed party, and were seen schmoozing with the who's who of the elites. From Bill Gates to Jeff Bezos, whose Beverly Hills mansion hosted the party, the royal couple went around the lot to expand their network.

But trouble came knocking when, after the party, Jenner and her daughter, Kim Kardashian, posted pictures from the night. And of course, it included photos of the Sussex couple as well. What came as a surprise was when the photos were taken down unceremoniously after a while. And reports suggest that Harry and Meghan had their team ask the Kardashians to take those photos down.

According to an insider, the Sussexes did not want to upset the royals and wanted the photos taken down. Talking to PageSix, the source said, “They don’t want to piss off the royal family while they are trying to reconcile.” Most likely because Jenner's party was held the night before Remembrance Sunday in the UK. And they did not want to cause problems, especially with the Sussexes trying to reconcile with the firm.

But while they were trying not to irk the royals, they have, allegedly, managed to provoke another family in the process. The Kardashians were said to be "fuming" after the Sussexes made the request for their photo to be taken down from social media. Speaking to Heat, a source revealed, “Kris and Kim now have egg on their faces, and you better believe they’re fuming. Asking for permission to share photos is done as a courtesy, but Kris certainly wasn’t expecting anyone to say no – and certainly not Meghan and Harry.”

They further added, "This was the Hollywood party of the year. Kris’s special night that was supposed to be all about her turning 70 and instead all everyone’s talking about, even a full week on, is Meghan and Harry. It’s just so insulting and ungracious from Kris’s point of view."

Harry and Meghan do not have the best social standing in the UK, and if they manage to anger the Kardashians, their hopes to have one in America will also be doused. The whole scenario has now turned into unnecessary chaos, which could have been easily avoided if the royal couple had been upfront from the beginning. Jenner, especially, has not been feeling very positive about the whole situation.

The source said, "Kris and Kim had heard all the rumours about the Sussexes being tricky and prone to diva behaviour, but this incident caught them totally off guard... It’s a massive slap in the face and one that Kris cannot let slide."

But both parties seem to be trying to lend an olive branch to the other. Kardashian has posted Markle's Harper's Bazaar cover story as well as the trailer of her upcoming Netflix movie on her social media. And the Duchess has allegedly sent an apology to the Kardashian matriarch, and is planning to send holiday gift packages to smooth things over. But whether or not that recovers the situation, especially with Jenner, is a different matter.
