Kim Kardashian Has Cut Ties With Meghan Markle Over 'Total Vibe Clash,' Reveals Source

Insiders say Meghan’s request to remove party photos rubbed Kim the wrong way and led to her ending the friendship for good.

Kim Kardashian is known to live it up with her celebrity friends, but it seems Meghan Markle will no longer be one of them. According to royal expert Rob Shuter, the two women no longer see eye-to-eye after Kris Jenner’s Bond-themed 70th birthday party. Insiders described it as a ‘total vibe clash’ with Markle's photo deleted from Kardashian's Instagram.

As per Shuter on Substack, Harry and Markle’s photos from the event mysteriously vanished from social media within hours. And apparently, the disappearance was not accidental. A source claims that Markle’s camp asked Jenner and Kardashian to take down the pictures. But for Kardashian, content is sacred, and it apparently rubbed her the wrong way. “Kim doesn’t do take-backs,” a Hollywood insider explained. To her, once you step into the Kardashian universe, you’re part of the production. Markle’s attempt to pull the plug reportedly infuriated her. 

But the night had already gone sideways before the posts came down. When producers asked Markle to record a short greeting for The Kardashians for Hulu, a routine request for guests, she declined. A source claimed she refused, “politely but icily,” and apparently, it felt like a snub for Kardashian. “She felt Markle acted like Buckingham Palace had arrived — and that goes down badly in Calabasas,” the insider added. 

Once the dust settled, Kardashian reportedly was finished. Insiders say she cut ties almost immediately. “Meghan’s made another Hollywood enemy,” the source summed, and unlike the royal family, the Kardashians have a simpler rulebook. An LA publicist put it straight: “You can ghost the royals. You cannot ghost the Kardashians.” 

So why did the Sussexes have the pictures deleted? Well, as per reports, it's the royal reconciliation that is at stake here. A source told Page Six that Harry and Markle wanted the photos removed because “they don’t want to piss off the royal family while they are trying to reconcile.” This tracks with earlier reporting that Markle has been supporting her husband’s efforts to mend relations with his father, King Charles.

Even though the couple likely expected to be photographed on their way into the star-packed event, they may not have anticipated that pictures taken inside would make their way online. An invite to the party, shared on Cassandra Grey’s Substack, made the rules clear: “To ensure that all guests fully enjoy the evening and maintain everyone’s privacy, please note that phones will not be permitted during the event. Upon arrival, there will be a phone check-in.” Harry and Markle were far from the only boldface names at the 007-themed celebration, held at Jeff Bezos’ $165 million Beverly Hills estate.

But apparently, the royals were not very happy about it. “It truly shows that Harry is so far removed from the rest of the family. These people may be stars in America, but the pure ostentatiousness is at odds with what Prince William is trying to do with his life and the monarchy,” the insider had said.
