Expert Claims Prince Harry ‘Regrets’ His Role in the Royal Rift: ‘Meghan Is Probably...’

Prince Harry has openly expressed his desire to reconcile with his family, and clarified that his father, King Charles, supposedly hasn’t been speaking to him. While Harry’s lack of initiative has been debated among royal fans and experts, a royal author has claimed that the Duke of Sussex allegedly regrets the rift with his family and wishes he had ‘done things differently.’
Harry’s relationship with his father, King Charles, and brother, Prince William, seems far from improving, especially since the siblings are said to have not spoken to each other in two years. According to The Mirror, royal author and expert Duncan Larcombe, known for his book, Prince Harry: The Inside Story, called the Duke a "sensitive soul" who "always wore his heart on his sleeve.' He continued, "So whether he’d admit it publicly or not, I’m sure he’s full of regrets and wishes he’d done things differently.” The author said how the Trooping the Color and Father’s Day, falling on the same weekend, must have made Harry look back at the ‘happy relationships’ he shared with his father and brother, and would 'love to be able to rebuild those.'
The author also touched upon Harry’s recent legal battle against the removal of taxpayer-funded security for him and his family when in the U.K. This security is provided to working senior royals, and lifted when Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their duties and moved to the U.S. In his interview with the BBC, the Duke said he could not ‘see a world’ where he could bring his wife and children back to his home country. Chiming in about the same, Larcombe said, “By saying he can’t bring them here because of the court ruling, Harry has nailed his colours to the mast.” In the author’s view, Markle is not willing to return to the U.K. due to the major backlash they've always been subject to. He said, “Meghan is probably quite reluctant to come to the UK anyway because they’d have to be deaf, dumb and blind not to realise just how much criticism they’ve had for their betrayals and truth bombs. But more importantly, there are real and genuine threats.”

The author further claimed that the ‘radical protestors’ and ‘lunatics’ are most likely behind the threats targeted at the Duke and Duchess, with the intention to make a name for themselves. Besides the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are also likely to be on the receiving end of the hate comments. The growing criticism directed at Markle and Harry has only made it incredibly difficult for the Sussexes to return to the U.K. Larcombe explained, “At big royal events, the security you actually see is the tip of the iceberg. There are a lot of undercover officers and agents working, too.” He further added, “Without the official support and security, Harry and Meghan are left with two or three bodyguards who are pretty blind to what the potential threats are."
