With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly preparing to return to the U.K., talk of a possible royal reunion is once again in question. While there are possibilities of Prince Harry finally reuniting with his father, King Charles, his stepmother, Queen Camilla, is reported to be not very keen on the same. According to new reports, Queen Camilla is feeling uneasy about what could happen if Charles sits down with his youngest son and his family, so she has an interesting plan up her sleeve: never leave them alone, but be by the King's side forever.

The reported concern comes after years of tension between Harry and Camilla. In his memoir Spare, Harry wrote candidly about his complicated relationship with his stepmother, even describing her as "evil" and accusing her of sacrificing him on her path to improving her public image. Given that history, royal watchers have long believed the two are far from close. Now, according to Rob Shuter's Naughty But Nice, Camilla reportedly wants to make sure she is present if Charles meets Harry and Markle during their expected visit.

A palace source told Shuter, "Camilla isn't taking any chances. She knows Charles has a soft spot for Harry, especially when it comes to his grandchildren. She wants to hear every word." The source continued, "Charles leads with his heart. Camilla worries that, left alone with Harry, he'll give away the family store in the name of peace." The report further claims Charles has remained hopeful that he can repair his relationship with Harry, with insiders saying his desire to spend more time with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet has only strengthened those hopes.

These possibilities have fueled fresh speculation that a reconciliation could finally be on the cards. However, sources claim Camilla is approaching the situation much more carefully. Another insider alleged that while Charles tends to lead with emotion, Camilla is worried that a private father-son conversation could result in promises that may not be in the monarchy's best interest. "She sees herself as Charles' guardrail," another insider said. "Her job is to make sure emotion doesn't outweigh judgment."

Despite the reported concerns, insiders insist Camilla is not trying to stop Charles from reconnecting with Harry. Instead, they say she simply wants to make sure any discussion is handled carefully and that important decisions are not made in the heat of an emotional moment. The report further claims Camilla has no intention of waiting outside if such a meeting takes place. "She's determined to have a seat at the table," the source added. "This isn't just a family conversation anymore—it's about the future of the monarchy."
