Every Sweet Homemade Gift Archie and Lilibet Have Given Meghan Over the Years

There is a universally charming factor associated with children coming up with handmade gifts for their parents. And Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet were seen fully embodying that spirit as their parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary. It was the children who subtly stole the spotlight with a series of thoughtful and adorable homemade gifts that turned the lavish celebration into a personal affair.

The most heartfelt gifts appeared in pictures Markle shared in her Instagram Stories as the family got together to celebrate her and Prince Harry’s eighth wedding anniversary. Right next to a bronze sculpture of two cuddling penguins, i.e., a symbolic tribute to the traditional eighth anniversary gift of bronze, there were two handmade board posters. They were most likely decorated by Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet themselves. They included colorful designs and personal touches, fusing a playful feel with an elegant setup. The couple who had tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel in 2018 were extremely delighted by their kids’ efforts. 

Another special surprise was sitting on the kitchen counter, where Meghan and Harry shared a celebratory peck next to their cake. Archie and Lilibet seem to have made two clay bowls sculpted by their own tiny hands. One was blue in color, while the other was pink. They were quite prominent in Markle’s post about their intimate family moment. Next to the bowl, there was also an envelope with the words "Mama" and "Papa." These are the affectionate names the kids use for their parents. It was due to these handmade keepsakes that the anniversary celebration had a warm and unmistakably family-centered atmosphere.

The anniversary gifts weren’t the first time Archie and Lilibet made a heartfelt gesture towards their parents. Back in March 2025, the Duchess shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse of a watch party celebrating her lifestyle series With Love, Meghan’s launch in New York. Although the children were not physically present, they sent their mother a bouquet of flowers along with a sweet handwritten pink card reading, "Congratulations, Mumma! We love your show, and we love you!” The sweet note immediately became one of the most talked-about moments from Meghan’s Instagram Stories from that week last year.

The homemade anniversary gifts are also aligned with a much bigger pattern emerging inside the Sussex household. It’s the one where small family traditions seem to matter more than grand gestures. Last year, Markle revealed that the Sussex siblings had joined a sweet July 4 tradition first started by Prince Harry during his second date with Meghan. Sharing a photo of patriotic cupcakes decorated in red, white, and blue icing, Meghan wrote: “H brought me cupcakes to celebrate. Now, all these years later, our two children are in on the tradition.” The post, which featured tiny hands holding up the dessert plate, was reflective of the same cozy family energy seen in the children’s anniversary poster boards, clay bowls, and handwritten “Mama and Papa” envelope. It depicted that for the Sussexes, the most meaningful gifts are often the homemade ones tied to family memories.
