Duchess Sophie Channels Her Inner Cinderella at Recent Event: See Photos
Duchess Sophie’s Cinderella Blue Moment
The royal family’s fashion game has always been on point, be it Princess Kate’s iconic gowns or Duchess Sophie’s signature minimal coat dresses; the royals never disappoint. This time too, the latter made a stunning appearance at the Combined Cavalry Old Comrades Association parade and service on May 10, dressed in a powder-blue dress coat, looking every bit like the well-known Disney Princess Cinderella. However, the Duchess added her own twist to the look, one that not only spoke volumes about her royal status but also paid homage to royal dressing protocol.
Pastel Royal Glamour
The Duchess of Edinburgh, on May 10, arrived in Hyde Park to attend the parade and service dressed in a stunning pastel blue Emilia Wickstead coat dress. The outfit featured long sleeves with a lapel collar and had her waist cinched with a belt, giving her figure a perfect hourglass definition. The Duchess completed her look with tan-hued stilettos and a wide-brimmed brown hat, upholding the royal dress code.
Dreamy Royal Fashion
From the shelves of New Zealand designer Emilia Wickstead, the 'Blue Kalonice Crepe Wrap Coat Dress' has been a favorite of hers, as she has even been seen wearing it previously on several other occasions. However, this time Sophie styled it differently, opting for a pair of diamond earrings with a matching dainty gold and diamond necklace, her statement hat, and a snakeskin clutch bag. She had her hair tied in a graceful twisted bun, adding to the royal sophistication.
Graceful Rewear
Sophie has always supported sustainability, just like the rest of the royals, and is often seen repeating her dresses and accessories. The Duchess was previously seen wearing the Wickstead coat dress at the Sovereign's Parade in April 2025, where she paired it with matching blue fascinators with feathers and blue gem-floral earrings. While she previously followed the blue theme of the outfit, she definitely broke the monotone this time with her hat and shoes.
Color of the Season
The Duchess was even seen wearing the same coat dress during the 2024 royal Christmas morning service at Sandringham Church, but back then, she styled it with a blue pillbox hat and a pair of brown knee-high boots. While the dress is clearly of her liking, Sophie seems to have a fascination with the color as well. She opted for a pastel blue Roland Mouret maxi dress for the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace, where she was accompanied by the rest of her family members. With the spring season at its peak, the pastel shade seems fitting for a daytime occasion, and the Duchess stole the show in the color.
