Why Palace Insiders Are Keeping a Close Watch on Harry's Next Move While Camilla Is Away

They believe Prince Harry may see this as an opportunity to reconnect with Charles.

Queen Camila is reportedly heading on summer vacation with her close friends, leaving King Charles to rest and recuperate at Balmoral Castle before resuming his royal duties. However, her departure is causing quite a bit of unrest amongst palace insiders. They believe Prince Harry may see this as an opportunity to reconnect with Charles while Camilla is away. Knowing the king has a soft spot for him, Harry is allegedly planning to use this to his advantage, and according to a new report from Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice, palace insiders are genuinely worried.

According to these reports, aides are seemingly having second thoughts about giving the King his much-needed breathing room away from the pressures of the monarchy, fearing Harry could use this brief period to make another move toward his father. While it really isn’t unusual for the King and Queen to be spending some time apart, as they truly value their individual schedules and friendships, the timing of this break has caught the attention of royal watchers, who are closely following the relationship between Charles and his youngest son. Apparently, insiders believe that when he is relaxed, he is more accessible, and therefore, an emotional conversation would become easier to navigate.

Elaborating on this, a palace insider said, “Harry knows exactly when his father is most vulnerable!” They further explained, “Camilla being away removes one of the strongest voices telling Charles to think carefully before responding.” The report also claims that Harry genuinely understands his father on an emotional level, and therefore, he already knows that Charles has a soft spot for him. A source also added to this by saying, “Harry understands his father emotionally. He knows Charles misses him, and he knows that underneath all the anger, the King wants his son back.” Harry knows that he doesn’t actually need to make any grand gestures. In fact, according to these reports, it seems like one single heartfelt phone call from Harry reportedly could reopen the royal doors for him, which officials have worked very hard to keep under active control.

While the world might know Charles as a stern, controlled, and diplomatic King, Harry sees the man beneath all those layers: his father. That distinction could prove to be extremely crucial. Another insider exclaimed, “Charles can be incredibly firm as King, but Harry knows how to reach Charles as a father. That is the vulnerability!” Recent reports have also alleged that Harry remains sincerely determined to repair his relationship with his family, even if the situation with Prince William and Princess Kate remains comparatively complicated. For now, there is no confirmation that Harry plans to make a move, but with Charles’ ongoing vacation, anything is possible.
