Prince William Pairs Up with 'Celebrity Traitors' Star for New Passion Project
Prince William shared some fun moments with his favorite show’s star, Ross Kemp, at Somerset.
The Royal Family seems to be going through a turbulent period, with the King’s brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, pursuing legal action over his arrest. Meanwhile, the royal rift persists as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue to establish their presence in the United Kingdom despite ongoing security issues. Nevertheless, it’s clear that nothing will stop Prince William and Princess Kate from going full steam ahead in carrying out their official duties. In line with this commitment, the Prince of Wales visited Ilminster, Somerset, on Tuesday, Oct. 6, as reported by the Somerset County Gazette.
William's visit aimed to help local communities and residents better prepare for floods, fires, and other natural disasters. To support this effort, the Prince launched a new National Emergencies Trust (NET) initiative called Ready Together. Adding a surprise twist to the outing, William was joined by Ross Kemp, star of one of his favorite shows, Celebrity Traitors. The actor, who serves as an ambassador for the National Emergencies Trust, was spotted accompanying the Prince throughout the visit.
The duo was seen chatting and laughing at the Ilminster Town Football Club, where William and Kemp joined local participants in working through a series of emergency scenarios to learn more about the community and their safety practices. According to reports by the Daily Mail, William also had fun teasing the celebrated actor about his appearance on the Wales family’s favorite show, The Celebrity Traitors. The Prince was even spotted repeatedly touching Kemp on the shoulder, playfully mimicking one of the show's signature murder tasks.
Beyond this, the Prince also tried to get some spoilers from Kemp about the show, as reported by The Standard. Addressing a group of local youths in Ilminster, William asked, “Do you watch The Traitors?” before introducing Kemp with a quip, “Spoiler alert today… he’s here!” He then joked about uncovering the show's secrets, saying, “I’m going to get the answer to what happens, and I am going to tell you all later!” To wrap up the day, William visited local businesses and met with owners who have worked to make the community's safety plan a success.
