Royal Fans Spot Major Change in Prince Archie's Appearance in Meghan Markle’s New Video
Meghan Markle appears to have softened her stance on privacy, occasionally sharing glimpses of her two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. With Halloween around the corner, the Duchess of Sussex went pumpkin-picking with Prince Harry, mom Doria Ragland, and her little ones. The happy family outing shared on Markle's Instagram on October 26 quickly garnered attention, and it was young Archie who stole the spotlight. As he ran through rows of pumpkins, royal fans couldn't help but notice just how tall he had grown.
Markle's video opened with rows of bright orange pumpkins and a friendly scarecrow watching over the patch, before cutting to a clip of Archie in what looked like a corn maze. Set to California Dreamin by The Mamas & the Papas, it also featured the Duchess pulling a wagon full of pumpkins alongside Harry and Lilibet. In one adorable moment, little Lilibet could be seen happily riding in the cart among the fallen squahes. After their pumpkin-picking adventure, Harry was spotted carving some of their finds, while Markle's mother, Doria Ragland, joined in the fun. Markle herself went for a classic jack-o'-lantern design, which she proudly showed off on her Instagram Stories.
As the video went viral, royal watchers couldn't help but say the same thing. On X (formerly Twitter), a netizen gushed, "He's close to being a young man. He's going to be so tall just like Papa." Another echoed, "Yes, he has really grown. I just love it so much." Meanwhile, a fan noted, "I remembered little Archie finding Mummy after running, and look at how tall he has become. OMG, the time goes by so quickly." As the comments poured in, another beamed, "Prince Archie is Meghan's face with Prince Harry's body."
The clip is also the first Markle uploaded with her children's faces visible, albeit from a distance. But the family's Halloween adventure isn't the first time royal fans have commented on Archie's tall statue. Earlier this year, when Markle shared a photo of her son looking out from a balcony on his sixth birthday, many noted how tall he's become. Fans have also gushed over Archie and Lilibet's striking red hair, a trait they clearly inherited from the Spencer side of the family. Harry has himself previously thanked Princess Diana's genes for his children's ginger locks.
Markle's fun-filled family outing, interestingly, also reminded royal fans of her past comments, when she revealed how much her kids loved dressing up for Halloween. In a 2021 episode on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she gushed, "We wanted to do something fun for the kids, and then the kids were just not into it at all. Archie was a dinosaur for maybe five minutes…She [Lilibet] was a little skunk," mentioning that her daughter had dressed up as Flower from Bambi.
