Princess Kate was recently spotted in high spirits during her visit to the Evelina London Children's Hospital. Still, it was her small, mysterious injury that left some royal fans wondering. While it is understood that the Princess is an outdoorsy person, since her cancer diagnosis, netizens and royal fans have been concerned about her overall well-being. The Princess of Wales recently visited Evelina London Children's Hospital on Monday, where she met young patients, their families and staff while learning more about the hospital's ambitious expansion plans. As she left the hospital, a light graze on her leg was briefly visible through the knee-high split in her elegant white shirt dress by Suzannah London.

For the day, the Princess looked ethereal in a white shirtdress with a slit that left her knee exposed. The dress also featured intricate black button detailing and a cinched waist. Kate paired it with black heels, and while she looked elegant and was also in a peppy mood, royal observers were left pondering the graze on her knee. It is not known how Kate got the small cut, and Kensington Palace has not commented on it. However, the Princess has been especially active in recent weeks after completing her demanding Three Peaks mountain-climbing challenge. She has spent plenty of time outdoors, making it possible that the graze came from one of her recent adventures.

As per Hello!, this is not the first time Kate has been seen with a minor injury. Earlier this year, she wore a small plaster on her right thumb during a Buckingham Palace reception marking what would have been Queen Elizabeth II's 100th birthday. She has also previously revealed that many of her small injuries come from spending time with her children. During a visit to Hull in 2023, Kate wore another plaster after hurting herself while playing on her children's trampoline. At the time, Kensington Palace described it as a "small injury" and said there was nothing serious to worry about. Kate also has a well-known three-inch scar on the left side of her head, which dates back to a childhood operation.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are well known for enjoying outdoor activities with their family. They also have a lively young cocker spaniel, Otto, who celebrated his first birthday in May. While there is no indication that he had anything to do with the graze, playful pets can sometimes leave behind the occasional scratch. Despite the minor injury, Kate looked relaxed and cheerful throughout her visit. She wore a meaningful blue friendship bracelet that was handmade by her daughter, Princess Charlotte, to encourage her during the Three Peaks Challenge.

During her visit to the hospital, the Princess toured around to see how it plans to transform into London's most comprehensive and integrated children's hospital. Kate met children and their families who have already benefited from recent improvements and heard about plans for a major new hospital building, which is expected to open in the early 2030s. As patron of Evelina London Children's Hospital, Kate has supported the hospital for several years and last visited in 2023 to open its children's day centre.
