Princess Kate Reportedly Wants William to Bury the Hatchet With Harry — But It's Not About Forgiveness

The news of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's big return to the U.K. has shocked everyone. According to reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex apparently made a point of informing King Charles of their grand ‘homecoming’. However, they allegedly chose not to inform Prince William and Princess Kate. This move reportedly left them feeling ‘blindsided’. Insiders close to the couple claim that Kate now wants William to go ahead and bury the hatchet and make peace with his younger brother. But it wouldn't be about forgiveness.
According to the sources who spoke to Rob Shuter on Naughty But Nice, it is strategic. They claimed that she isn’t doing this to rebuild the brothers’ relationship. Instead, Kate just wants to protect the Monarchy, as Harry and Markle are likely to build their own ‘rival royal court’ which will go alongside William’s future reign as the King. The source argued that Kate wants to make sure that while they might never really be close again, they can at least cease the ongoing tension between them. An insider exclaimed, “Kate is the voice of reason!”
They further explained, “She knows William and Harry may never be brothers in the way they once were. But they can be civil, they can cooperate, and they can stop feeding the story that the royal family is permanently divided.” Kate reportedly understands that if they keep clashing, they will keep creating more ‘oxygen’ for Harry and Markle’s ‘drama’. A source close to the Waleses said, “This isn’t about forgiveness. It’s about strategy; Kate is thinking about the institution and the future when William is King, and she is Queen.” They added that underestimating the future Queen would be a mistake.
A source stressed, “Kate is a chess player! She doesn’t need Harry to love William. She needs him to stop fighting him.” Therefore, it has been made clear that the Princess is reportedly not working hard to repair an irreparable family connection; she seems to be playing strategically because she knows just what is at stake when it comes to her family’s royal future.
