Prince William Mirrors Kate Middleton During Recent Visit — and It Says Everything About Their Marriage
Prince William made Kate Middleton's presence felt throughout his solo visit to Somerset through unprompted actions.
Prince William and Kate Middleton seemingly have a special talent for unwittingly showing off their romantic side during public engagements. So far, their displays of affection have been loving words, tactful hand placements, and an occasional peck on the cheek. However, on Tuesday, the Prince of Wales pushed the lovey-dovey envelope further by subconsciously mirroring his wife’s characteristics. It must be true what they say — couples do start acting like each other eventually.
This week, William traveled to Somerset for an important engagement. He visited the Town Football Club, met senior citizens, fans, and kids at a local cafe, and finally stopped by the fire station to learn about fire prevention. While the work trip had several significant moments related to the royal’s environmental efforts, one couldn’t help but notice he was making the exact same hand gestures as the Princess of Wales does when speaking.
The chatty princess is known for being expressive during conversations. Whenever she speaks, her eyes light up, and her hands move with her words to better explain her point. She is often spotted curving her hands as if holding an invisible basketball while talking. William made the same gestures while discussing training exercises during emergency scenarios with volunteers and young kids.
Middleton’s presence at William’s solo visit was felt greatly. Especially when the latter excitedly high-fived the little school kids gathered to meet him. Usually, it is the certified ‘Children’s Princess’ who is seen talking to kids, but this time the Prince of Wales seemingly took over her duties during his solo visit. He seemed to have a fun conversation with the children.
The case of the loved-up couple received even more backing when Celebrity Traitors contestant Ross Kemp joined William on Tuesday. The Waleses are big fans of the reality show, and the prince must have truly missed his wife while meeting a star from it. Wonder if that is what inspired him to mirror the princess throughout the day.
Last month, William and Middleton made quite a few joint appearances. Their most recent one was a poignant visit to the AMT Headingley Stadium in Leeds in honor of rugby player Rob Burrow, who suffered from MND.
