Prince William, the heir to the throne, has already begun to show what his future reign would look like. The Prince of Wales has remained a loyal member of the family who has been tirelessly working to shape the future of the monarchy. His modern approach and humble meetings are lauded thoroughly, and, according to an expert, he has bold plans for his "scandalous" uncle, Prince Andrew.

William has allegedly been at odds with his uncle, who has been a part of several high-profile scandals in the past. Despite denying his friendship with convicted offender Jeffrey Epstein, the Duke of York faced controversies and scandals that also led him to step down from his royal duties. He was also allegedly involved in cases surrounding Ghislaine Maxwell and Yang Tengbo. While he made very few public appearances in his brother King Charles’s reign, the prince is expected not to play any role when his nephew's rule.

According to the Daily Express, broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard believes William would banish any member of the family who is perceived as a "threat to the monarchy". He stands firm in his decision and plans the best for the monarchy. Chard said, “Anyone who poses a threat to the monarchy is banished. Prince William is a shrewd operator and stands firm in his decisions. He is committed and determined to do his best for the future of the monarchy. And his mind is made up.” The expert called the Duke a problem for the monarchy as she said, “His scandalous uncle is viewed as a black cloud. Future public royal duties are off the cards.”

Andrew is unlikely to have any royal duties when William becomes the king. Explaining the same, Chard further opined, “Future public royal duties are off the cards. If allowed, Andrew will likely bring further reputational damage to the monarchy at a time when the royal ship needs a careful steer.” She added, “Prince Andrew will not have a formal role in Prince William’s future modernized, streamlined monarchy.”

Previously, royal expert Hilary Fordwich threw light on the nephew-uncle duo’s ‘strained’ relationship and the Duke’s future in the monarchy. According to Fox News Digital, Fordwich said, “Andrew’s future within the royal family is beyond bleak since Prince William is firmly opposed to any public rehabilitation with no foreseeable path back.” The expert further opined that William wishes for his scandalous Andrew to ‘vanish from public view.’ She continued, “William’s strong stance on 'the Andrew problem’ is consistent, unwavering, and his influence has been decisive in ensuring Andrew remains sidelined...He is driven by his desire… to protect the monarchy’s reputation, doing all he can to safeguard its future.” In Fordwich’s views, the Duke is not a popular figurehead among the public, given his past and fewer public appearances. She further claimed, “Once King, no doubt, Prince William will ensure Andrew is completely excluded from royal life, as well as all public appearances.”
