Prince Archie’s Birthday Post Has Royal Fans Accusing Meghan Markle of the Same Thing: 'She's Taking...'

Prince Archie celebrated his 6th birthday on Tuesday, May 6. To mark the special occasion, mom Meghan Markle shared an adorable birthday portrait of her son on Instagram. Royal fans, however, weren't too thrilled and accused Markle of copying Kate Middleton again. As per the Express, netizens online argued that her post was strikingly similar to those of Middleton for her kids, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, who recently also celebrated their birthdays.

Thank you for all of the love, prayers, and warm wishes for our sweet boy. He’s six! Where did the time go?” She also thanked everyone who attended her son’s birthday party the previous weekend.

As Archie's picture made the rounds on social media, royal watchers slammed the Duchess. On X (formerly Twitter), a person penned, “She is copying Kate again, I see.” A critic argued, “They are such liars, who knows where he was. There is talk that that photo is AI…I think they wanted Archie to be on a balcony, much the same as the other grandchildren.” In a similar vein, a comment also read, “Thinking that she is taking them because Princess Kate does. The only difference is that the Princess of Wales takes way better photos and doesn’t hide who her children are. The fact is, her children are way more high-profile than Meghan and Harry’s! That’s, of course, if they even exist as they have been known to change hair colour.” Meanwhile, others loved Markle's birthday tribute. A person wrote, "That's so sweet! Happy birthday to Prince Archie! Time flies, he's already six!" Similarly, another chimed, "Prince Archie Sussex is 6 today. Happy Birthday, little one. I bet you've had a great day. Sending lots of love and birthday hugs."

Markle, who is raising her kids away from the spotlight in Montecito, California, has been sharing small peeks into her life with Prince Harry after her return to Instagram earlier this year. After Harry lost his bid for state-funded security in the UK, Markle recently, on May 3, also shared a photo of him with their two children, to show up in support. The photo featured Archie holding Harry's hand, and their daughter Princess Lilibet, perched on her dad's shoulder as they took a stroll in what seemed to be their backyard, People magazine reported.
Coming back to Markle, this wasn’t the first time that netizens have accused her of copying Middleton. The two royal women have previously been called out for copying each other’s fashion choices. As reported by Town and Country magazine, in 2022, for instance, Middleton wore a black and white gown to the Top Gun: Maverick premiere, while Markle chose a similar color scheme for her trip to New York.
