Meghan Markle’s Most Trusted Friend Deletes Video of His Paris Trip With Duchess

It's no secret that Meghan Markle has a wide circle of celebrity friends, but only a select few earn the title of her true ride or die. Among them is her long-time makeup artist, Daniel Martin, who has stood loyally by her side since 2011. That’s why royal fans were surprised when, on October 6, the makeup artist suddenly deleted an Instagram video in which he detailed how he had created Markle’s Paris Fashion Week look. The abrupt removal sparked rumors of possible trouble behind the scenes of their seemingly unshakable bond.
I’m so glad Daniel Martin & the glam squad are getting love for the fabulous job they did. Here he is sharing the look.

The clip started with Martin thanking his supporters for the outpouring of love and appreciation for Markle’s makeup look. He then explained how he achieved the same. "We just wanted to keep everything light, fresh, and radiant. She [Markle] just flew in, and your skin gets dehydrated from the plane, so I just wanted to bring some hydration back into her skin and just bring some life to it." Tooting his own horn, he added that his work had "made her [PFW] look even more juicy and glowy." He continued, "I would love to get her in a lip one day, Meghan, if you're watching this, let's do a lip, I'd love to see you in a lip." Shortly afterward, on the same day, the post was deleted from his Instagram.

Martin’s sudden deletion led many to speculate that the Duchess was unhappy with his remarks, particularly his mention of bringing life back to her dehydrated skin. However, a source quickly dismissed any rumors of tension, telling the Daily Mail that the clip was removed simply because it didn’t include all the beauty products used. The insider emphasized that an updated version of the video is expected to be shared at a later date.

Martin has worked with Markle since her Suits days, and famously also did her makeup for her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry. Pulling back the curtains on Markle’s Paris look, Martin further revealed that he used a variety of products to create the glowy effect. He shared, "I use foundation a lot with my hands, so when I apply it, I'm applying it like a massage, like I do with my skincare. I'll go in with a brush to add more coverage, and then I use a sponge to blend it out, but I never apply foundation with a sponge, and I never apply foundation directly to the brush." He added that he relied on brown eyeshadow with a halo effect and mascara, stressing that he introduced her to a MAC mascara, 'which she loves.'
Martin, a loyal friend, was also invited by the Duchess on her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, not once but twice. After the Paris Fashion show, in an interview, the makeup artist shared that he was 'overwhelmed' by the praise he received on Markle’s look at the Balenciaga show. He went on to describe his Paris outing as 'truly an inspiring trip.'
