Meghan Markle’s Business Move Fuels Speculation Over Sussex's Future in the UK
Meghan Markle is reportedly planning to make an unexpected career move to cater to her fans in UK.
Meghan Markle has been working hard to build momentum in her career following her family’s move to the United Kingdom. A few months ago, rumors circulated that she might join the cast of Guy Ritchie’s series, The Gentlemen, but those discussions ultimately did not go beyond early stages. Now, she has shifted her focus to her lifestyle brand, As Ever, which launched in 2025. This comes alongside her Emmy-nominated Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, which has resonated warmly with her fanbase.
According to HELLO!, the brand has since become financially independent, with the Duchess of Sussex expanding her product line far beyond its original offerings. Her new additions include a Reserve Brut, a special Spiced Apple Butter, and a complete holiday collection featuring giftable baskets, keepsake playing cards, and a holiday advent calendar filled with exclusive handcrafted chocolates. However, reports note that the Duchess’s brand currently sells its products exclusively in the United States.
It seems that is about to change. According to a report by The Sun, “Her As Ever products will soon be on sale in her new homeland, making the UK the brand’s first market outside of her native US.” Outlining the initial lineup coming across the pond, the report noted, “As Ever is expected to sell Meghan’s £11 tins of tea and £50 scented candles. Her £15 limited edition bookmarks, made in the UK with phrases in her handwriting such as ‘Fell asleep here,’ are also set to go on sale.” Needless to say, her UK fanbase is thrilled by the news.
However, some of the brand’s best sellers, including its popular line of jams, spreads, and flower sprinkles, will not be available in the UK initially. Reports attribute these exclusions to complex local food import and export regulations. Meanwhile, Markle’s strategic business move has fueled fresh speculation regarding the Sussexes’ relocation to the United Kingdom. Royal watchers believe this commercial expansion serves as a strong signal that the family's ‘extended stay’ in Prince Harry’s homeland could become permanent. Reinforcing this sentiment, recent reports from PEOPLE indicate that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are settling in seamlessly and adjusting remarkably well to their new life in Britain.
