Meghan Markle Has a 3 Word Message For Harry After He Was Spotted Enjoying a Solo Trip
On December 17, Prince Harry showed off his polo skills during a trip to Aspen, where he participated in the St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship. His spokesperson later confirmed that the Duke of Sussex had stepped in for a friend at the tournament. While many appreciated the thoughtful gesture, some questioned how Meghan Markle felt about him leaving her and their children behind in Montecito. As it turns out, the Duchess was fully supportive, taking to Instagram to share her thoughts on her husband's boys' trip.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Markle shared a sweet photo of Harry from the tournament wearing a ski jacket with a blue zip and black ski pants on a horseback. She captioned it, "Oh, hello there," showcasing her support for him.
As for the boy's trip, Harry ticked off his vacation competing with his friend, Nacho Figueras. After the match, Figueras gushed, "We [he and Harry] speak very often, which is amazing to be able to have a friendship that feels like – sometimes we're not together-together – so it's always a good thing to be able to share that with someone."
Interestingly, Figueras also has a sweet connection to Markle and Harry's fairytale love story. Shortly after the Prince began dating the then-actress in 2016, Figueras was among the few close friends fully aware of their budding romance, a detail later shared in the Sussexes' Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan. He and his wife, Delfina, were also guests at the Sussexes' royal wedding in 2018. Harry and Figueras have always enjoyed skiing together, as the former mentioned in his memoir, Spare, that he 'loved skiing' and was 'good' at it.
After his Aspen trip comes to an end, Harry will return to Montecito to spend Christmas with his wife and two children. Markle and Harry had spent their first Christmas as a family of four in 2021 after welcoming Lilibet that June. Their Christmas card read, "This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, to the world. Archie made us a 'Mama' and a 'Papa,' and Lili made us a family." Meanwhile, Charles and the rest of the royal family will continue their long-standing tradition of celebrating the festival at Sandringham.
As for Markle's sweet verdict on Harry's trip, it wasn't the first time she was caught appreciating her husband's many talents. In August, she had similarly posted a video of Harry showing off his surfing skills, with the caption, "We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to bring you this important message: 🦊" The video highlighted his skills on the waves, a hobby he reportedly picked up since moving to California after stepping back from royal duties with Markle.
