It has widely been reported that Markle is planning to pen ‘a revenge memoir’ which would expose the British royal family. As reported by People magazine, given the rumors, host Lima asked Markle if she would pen another book as a New York Times bestselling author. Markle replied, “Yes, maybe, for sure. I love, right now, working on everything in the space of hospitality and home and entertaining and food and those sorts of tips.” However, she shut down rumors of a potential memoir. She said, “I think people are often curious if I'm going to write a memoir, but I've got a lot more life to live before I'm there.”

The Duchess of Sussex made her debut as an author in 2021 with her children's book, The Bench, released just a few days after the birth of her daughter, Princess Lilibet. Her book quickly ranked No. 1 on The New York Times Bestseller list for children's picture books. During their sitdown, Lima also asked the Duchess if she would consider running for office. Markle responded, “Never. Oh, God. I mean, you could say, 'Never say never.' No, I'm not interested in that.”

While Markle’s better half, Prince Harry, has his bombshell memoir, Spare, it seems his wife would like to stick to children's books only. During the podcast, Markle also admitted to being ‘in trenches’ with her husband during their early courtship. She remarked, “At the beginning, everyone is like butterflies, and then we immediately went into the trenches together right out of the gate, like six months into dating.” Regardless of the challenges, she praised Harry and gushed, “We’ve built a beautiful life, and we have two healthy, beautiful children. He’s just going to do whatever he can to make his family safe and protected, and uplifted, and still make time for date nights.”

Back in 2024, rumor mills were rife that the Duchess was planning to write a tell-all memoir exposing her dark days in the royal family. As reported by The News International, a royal source claimed, “There’s a growing demand for Meghan to speak out,” adding that this could take the form of a sit-down interview or her memoir. The insider dished, “She has the potential to make a fortune and clear up a lot of unanswered questions.” The rumors were exacerbated when filmmaker Ulrike Grunewald, who is behind a documentary on the Sussexes, told the Daily Express, “We know that Meghan kept a diary, but if she writes a book, will people believe what she’s telling?”
