Meghan Markle and Harry's Ex Both Celebrated a Brand Milestone Today — and the Timing Is Hard to Miss
Her latest video featured nostalgic moments, including her Girl Scout days and also showcased new clips of As Ever fruit spreads.
Meghan Markle has been promoting her new holiday launches, sharing glamorous posts of her latest products to the delight of fans. Today, the Duchess of Sussex shared an inspirational self-tribute video celebrating her As Ever journey on her official Instagram account. The montage accompanied a lengthy post detailing her ambitions and dreams. The highlight of the post was Princess Lilibet assisting in the kitchen, symbolizing the passing on of a legacy. However, Markle's post coincided with Chelsy Davy, Prince Harry's ex, celebrating the 10th anniversary of her jewelry brand, Aya.
Davy shared a post on Instagram with a short and sweet caption, "This year marks ten years since I started Aya, and two years since I started it all over again. To mark the anniversary, I’ve written a few words about the last decade, for Aya and for me: the early adventures, stepping away, starting again, and a fair amount of life in between. Link in bio.Thank you to everyone who has been part of it, whether you bought your first piece in 2016 or last week. It means more than I can really say. With love, Chelsy."
Her post included snapshots of her journey as a jewelry designer, as well as moments with customers and family. She too highlighted her design work alongside her children, symbolizing a mother passing on her legacy. Meanwhile, Markle's video looks eerily similar, with identical themes.
Markle shared in the caption her early entrepreneurial experiences, noting she was only a few years older than her daughter when she started her first business ventures. At eight, she began making handmade scrunchies on her grandmother's sewing machine, selling them for $1 each. She also sold Girl Scout cookies, ran lemonade stands, worked in a frozen yogurt shop, and took on numerous other jobs, highlighting her enduring business spirit. She also reminisced about her journey on her now-defunct blog, The Tig, highlighting the importance of self and community support behind her success. She expressed pride and gratitude for her brand's growth and the introduction of a holiday collection, thanking her team for bringing her vision to life.
The video featured nostalgic moments, including her Girl Scout days with her mother, Doria Ragland, and showcased new clips of As Ever fruit spreads being prepared, as well as her gardening and baking cookies. Harry dated Davy from 2004 to 2011; the pair were constantly on a roller coaster relationship.
