King Charles Gets Heckled About Andrew Scandal Yet Again: 'Are You Covering for Prince Andrew?'

Former Prince Andrew’s legal issues have significantly impacted other members of the royal family.

Ever since Prince Andrew’s legal issues and his past links to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have come to light, it has significantly impacted other members of the royal family and the well-established image of the monarchy. For instance, during his recent visit to Cornwall with Queen Camilla, King Charles faced an uncomfortable moment when someone in the crowd suddenly questioned him about the ongoing controversy involving his brother. This incident disrupted an otherwise warm reception received by the couple.

Following a series of public appearances, Charles made his way to St Austell's Market Hall to greet the gathered crowd, when a man disrupted the moment by heckling the King. As reported by Cornwall Live, he shouted, "Are you covering for Prince Andrew? Are you covering for him?" However, the disruption was quickly controlled by another member of the crowd, who boldly asked the man to shut it as Charles remained composed and continued talking with those around him.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t the first time that such a thing has happened. Just a few days ago, some of the senior royals—including Charles, Kate Middleton, and Prince William—were met with similar protests when they attended the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey. A bunch of yellow posters, seemingly referring to Andrew’s Epstein connection, read, "What did you know?" There were several other placards with anti-monarchy slogans and references to Andrew, as reported by People Magazine. Speaking of this, royal author Robert Jobson said, "If it comes out that people knew stuff — whether it be members of the family or police or staffers — then heads must roll."

Jobson then went on to explain the gravity of the situation, stating, "Other events have rocked the monarchy, but something from within — where someone is being arrested — is very different. This is much more serious." Andrew was arrested on February 19, 2026, after allegations of misconduct in a public office. Although he was later released, the case and the investigation are still ongoing, and he might remain in this situation for weeks or even months. Responding to his arrest, Charles wrote, "I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office. Let me state clearly: The law must take its course." Meanwhile, Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, has also stayed out of the public eye since facing renewed attention over her past connections to Epstein.
