Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a dramatic landing in the UK yesterday with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, aboard a chartered private plane from Planet 9, a luxury service costing roughly $12,000 per hour. Their homecoming marks significant changes since they will be settling into a private residence outside London, with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet set to start at a British school in September. The couple is also expected to reconcile with the extended royal family following a private meeting with the King in July. However, Their Majesties seem to have scheduled a busy calendar for themselves in the coming months, most probably to escape a royal confrontation and heightened drama.

Buckingham Palace has announced that King Charles and Queen Camilla are set to undertake an Autumn Tour from October 27 to November 4, visiting the Bahamas, Antigua and Barbuda, and Guyana. The trip includes attending the 2026 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Antigua and Barbuda and celebrating 60 years of UK-Guyana bilateral relations.

While the tour spotlights Commonwealth communities and culture, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams noted a strategic detail: the palace confirmed the news just hours after the Sussexes landed in the UK. "The news of the King and Queen’s tour was obviously, in my view, deliberately announced to coincide with their arrival. The monarchy’s link with the Commonwealth is uniquely precious. Harry and Meghan were once to be pivotal links with the Commonwealth," Fitzwilliams explained to GBN News.

He went on to criticize the Sussexes, noting that they had trashed the monarchy "in a shameful" manner. He further highlighted that the couple appears to be "relocating separately." "They will be a thorn in the side of the Royal Family," he stated. "How it pans out will be anthropologically fascinating." Leaving Van Nuys Airport at 6:01 PM PDT, the Sussexes landed in Birmingham at 11:56 AM.

It has been reported that the Duke and Duchess have planned their move for an "extended period," with Harry staying for 12 to 15 years. While the Duke and the children may establish a more permanent residence, Markle is expected to maintain an international role, frequently traveling back to California for her business ventures.

Meanwhile, King Charles's upcoming 8-day trip to the Caribbean will be his first since 2021, marking significant milestones, including Barbados's transition to a republic. His last visit to Antigua and Barbuda was in 2017, following severe hurricanes. Charles made his initial visit as monarch to a British overseas territory in Bermuda last year. The tour occurs amidst a shifting royal family dynamic and his challenging health issues; however, a close source revealed that the monarch is expecting to witness peace between his feuding sons, as reported by People.
