Insider Says Buckingham Palace is in ‘Panic’ Over Kate Middleton’s Health: 'This Is One Of...'

Kate Middleton recently attended a series of annual royal events. After shining bright in her aqua-blue dress for King Charles’s birthday celebration, Trooping the Color, she stepped out for the Order of the Garter procession with Prince William. However, the Princess of Wales, who is in remission after battling cancer, pulled out of her scheduled appearance for the annual Royal Ascot at the last minute, causing a panic situation at Buckingham Palace. Commenting on the same, a friend of the Princess has revealed the possible reason behind her backing out.
Middleton's team was not in favor of the speculations that claim that the 43-year-old is seeking the needed balance as she continues to recover from her illness. However, they also haven't released an explanation for the Princess's absence from the big event. The staff in the royal household were allegedly left ‘bewildered and worried’. According to the Daily Beast, an insider revealed how the situation worsened for the staff when the carriage list came out with Middleton’s name on it. The source said, “Everyone was wandering around going, ‘What is going on?’ One minute she was going, and the next she wasn’t. This is one of the biggest days of the year in the royal calendar; you don’t just miss Ascot on a whim, so there was a real sense of panic. The chaotic nature of the announcement was eerily reminiscent of the dark days of last year. People were bewildered and worried.” Rumors also ran wild that the mother-of-three was unwell and had sought medical help.
While the reason is unknown, a friend of Middleton's has given a possible explanation for the situation, suggesting that the Princess must have been exhausted by the frequent events. The friend claimed, “My understanding is that Kate was basically exhausted after Trooping the Color on Saturday and Garter Day on Monday and couldn’t face it. There are good days and bad days, as she herself has very candidly said.”
I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year.

My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything.

Middleton was diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer last year after undergoing an abdominal surgery. She took some time off from her royal duties to focus on her treatment while also looking after her children during the difficult time. By September last year, she was known to have completed her preventative round of chemotherapy. In her official announcement of remission, on January 14, she thanked the Royal Marsden. She shared, “It is a relief to now be in remission, and I remain focused on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am, however, looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support."
