Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been vocal about protecting the privacy of their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. While sharing family photos on social media, the Duchess of Sussex typically shows her children from behind or covers their faces with emojis. However, it appears the Sussexes have eased their strict privacy stance, with Markle recently offering more glimpses of their kids. According to an insider, Harry has had a change of heart about his wife posting Archie and Lilibet's faces because he wants his father, King Charles, to see his grandchildren and realize what he’s missing.

The source told the Daily Mail, "Harry is completely heartbroken. His dad refuses to see him or the kids, not even on Zoom... It's a last resort. He's desperately hoping the King might see a picture of Archie or Lilibet and realize what he's missing." The insider revealed that the Duke has made repeated attempts to reach out to Charles over the years, adding, "He's tried everything... calls, letters... But nothing's worked. This is his way of saying, 'Look at what you're missing.'"

In his infamous BBC interview, Harry admitted that he wanted to reconcile with Charles and the royal family. He explained, "Life is precious. I don't know how much longer my father has, he won't speak to me because of this security stuff. It would be nice to reconcile." Despite the Duke's pleas for a reunion, Charles is reportedly least interested in talking to his son after his scathing allegations in the interview that has broken all 'trust'. As per the Daily Express, a source close to the King said, "What has frustrated and upset him [Charles] on a more personal level is the Duke’s failure to respect this principle."

As far as the King's relationship with his grandchildren is concerned, it is widely reported that the monarch 'deeply misses' Archie and Lilibet. Shortly before Archie's 6th birthday on May 6, royal correspondent Jennie Bond revealed that the gap between Charles and his grandchildren had further widened. She told The Mirror, "[Charles] always loved Harry – he called him 'darling boy....I'm sure as his struggle with cancer continues, he thinks more about the great loss of not being able to spend time with Harry's children."

While Harry has allegedly eased his stance on showing his children's faces on social media, it was never the case before. Speaking on his need to fiercely protect his children, a friend of his told People magazine,"He wants them to lead as normal a life as possible without the fear of kidnapping or harm. Harry is determined to ensure that history doesn’t repeat itself," referring to the death of his late mother, Princess Diana. During a sit-down at the New York Times DealBook Summit, Harry told journalist Andrew Ross Sorkin, "I very much enjoy living here and bringing up my kids here,” before explaining that his children have the freedom to do things that they “undoubtedly wouldn't be able to do in the UK."
