Harry 'Frantically' Working to Bring Meghan to UK as Charles Won't 'Pass Up' Meeting Archie & Lilibet
The emotional reunion may not have happened this time—but insiders say Harry isn't ready to call it quits just yet.
To many, it may seem that Prince Harry's mission to unite his kids with his father failed, but as per inside sources, the Prince isn't giving up anytime soon. Harry arrived all alone back in his home country sans his wife and kids owing to security concerns, and while a reunion between King Charles and Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet did not happen immediately, fresh reports suggest efforts are still underway behind the scenes. According to new reports, Harry and Charles are working to arrange a long-awaited meeting between the monarch and his California-based grandchildren.
Harry is currently in the U.K. for a series of engagements, and while the Sussexes were expected to travel to Britain together, security concerns meant Harry made the trip alone. “While nothing has been ruled out, conversations remain ongoing,” a royal source told the Mirror. Another insider added, “The King would not pass up the opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren, and if there is a way of making it possible, he will do it.”
The father and son duo have reportedly had several one-on-one conversations recently, and these can only be described as “hopeful.” A major hurdle, however, remains security. According to the report, Harry is “frantically” trying to arrange private security so Meghan Markle, Archie and Lilibet can travel safely to the U.K. Reports also suggest that although the King offered accommodation on a royal estate, security would only be provided within the estate itself. In a statement shared in June, Harry's spokesperson explained, “The issue is whether appropriate and proportionate protective security is being provided throughout the entirety of the visit.”
The spokesperson also detailed how Harry was continuing to “explore every available option to enable the visit to proceed safely and to give his children the opportunity to enjoy the U.K.” Earlier reports claimed Harry had even considered flying Meghan and the children into Britain for just one day in the hope of making a reunion with the King possible without requiring extended official security arrangements.
Despite years of public tension, Harry has repeatedly spoken about wanting to repair his relationship with his family. Speaking to the BBC in 2025, he said, “I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore.” With numerous speculations abuzz, both Harry's spokesperson and the Palace have preferred not to speak about the topic as of now. Whether the long-awaited meeting between Charles and his grandchildren finally takes place remains uncertain.
