While speaking at an event, she suggested that the late monarch was communicating through her corgis.

Sarah Ferguson has disappeared, almost like she fell from the face of Earth. But her antics still manage to ruffle a few feathers, and this time it is Prince William. The future king is reportedly ‘furious’ at Fergie about a bizarre anecdote she shared about Queen Elizabeth. While speaking at an event, she suggested that the late monarch was communicating through her corgis. Yes, you read it right.

Following the passing of Elizabeth, Fergie, along with her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, took in the Queen’s beloved corgis Muick and Sandy back in 2022. During the Creative Woman Platform Forum last year, Ferguson said (via The Mirror), “I have her dogs...so every morning they come in and go 'woof woof,' and I'm sure it's her talking to me.” According to a report by Woman magazine, William was not happy with the story. Royal expert Emily Andrews wrote, “Prince William was then apparently 'furious' that she used this anecdote.”

Previously, Fergie was also accused of considering cloning the dogs for a reality show. According to the Daily Mail, she was reportedly in discussions with an LA-based company, Halcyon Studios. In the reported pitch, the plan even included Ferguson setting up a company called ‘The Queen’s Corgis,’ where cloned versions of the dogs would be bred and sold. However, Fergie’s representative denied the claims, saying, “Ms. Ferguson regularly receives varied TV offers and proposals—often for reality shows, which she always declines… To be absolutely clear, she declined the proposal regarding a reality TV show involving the late Queen’s corgis.”

Ferguson is definitely on thin ice with William, especially when reports of him ‘holding a grudge’ have recently surfaced. A source in Rob Shuter's Naughty But Nice substack revealed that the Prince of Wales has a “ruthless streak” and said, “He doesn’t forget, and he doesn’t forgive easily. If you cross the line, that’s it.” They also added that the monarchy is under more pressure than ever, and it requires someone willing to make tough, even unpopular decisions. The insider noted that William understands the stakes, viewing it not just as family but as a business.

Moreover, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said (via Page Six), “William is our future king. Thank goodness he has a ruthless streak, as this is needed in today’s world, especially with the monarchy among its most closely watched institutions.” William’s toughness can be seen in his stance toward Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Since their exit as senior royals, he has kept his distance, and royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams claims that neither William nor Catherine has had any direct contact with the Sussexes since Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.

William has also kept his uncle, ex-Prince Andrew, and Ferguson at arm’s length, including their two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. “Andrew is a problem. Harry is a problem; William knows that—and he acts accordingly,” an insider said.
