Details of Meghan Markle's highly-anticipated new acting role has reportedly been revealed.
Entertainment sources previously revealed that the The Duchess of Sussex is set to be making a sensational return to her acting roots and has reportedly landed a major new part in a new UK production. They also said this is one of the main reasons behind her return to the country with Prince Harry. Their two children Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, have already been enrolled in local schools before a start date in September.
News.com.au reports that the former Suits star is in talks team up with A-list director Guy Ritchie for his hit Netflix comedy-drama series, The Gentleman. The show is a spinoff of the popular 2019 movie of the same name starring Hugh Grant and Matthew McConaughey. Filming of the series also takes place in the UK.
Details of Meghan's planned role have not yet been released as the second series - starring Theo James and Kaya Scoderlario - is set to premiere on the platform in the first week of September. Although the third outing has not yet been green-lit, the first instalment was a huge success for the streamer.
Before her 2018 marriage to Prince Harry at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, Meghan, 45, was best known for her role as Rachel Zane in the hit legal drama. After filming over 100 episodes portraying the talkative paralegal, the actress announced her retirement from the art form as she intended to commit to royal duties alongside her husband.
