William Is 'Seething' and 'Flat Out Refusing' to Be In the Same Room as Harry, Insider Claims

The once inseparable brothers haven’t spoken to each other properly in years, and it looks like the situation is getting worse.

Prince William is said to be taking deliberate steps just so he can avoid crossing paths with his younger brother, Prince Harry. After wrapping up his recent court case, the Duke of Sussex has a second trip planned for the UK for the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham. Speculation is running high that Meghan Markle will also be visiting, with King Charles adamant to welcome his son and daughter-in-law with open arms. This is something that has apparently left the heir apparent ‘seething,’ who, as per reports, is flat out refusing to even be in the same room as his younger brother.

The once inseparable brothers haven’t spoken to each other properly in years, and it looks like the situation is getting worse. The Duke is currently in the UK for his case against the publisher of the Daily Mail. While it presented a perfect setup for a royal reunion, William is currently in Scotland to fulfill his royal duties. Many wondered that while a private meeting between the brothers did not take place this time, it might happen when Harry and Markle return for the Games, presenting yet another opportunity to mend broken ties. While Charles is allegedly acting on that possibility by offering Highgrove House for the couple to stay, William is said to be angry over the fact that his ‘dad is falling for the bait.’

A source told the National Examiner, “Officially, Team Wales is toeing the line because they have no choice, it’s the will of the King, but privately, there’s a lot of resentment,” also adding, “It’s obviously very unorthodox for him to be going against his father in any way, even behind the scenes, but William insists he has no choice.” The insider further highlighted that the Prince of Wales sees the Sussexes as a serious threat to the monarchy and is “taking steps to protect himself” as well as the future of the institution. The insider suggested that William has reportedly made it very clear that things will be handled differently when he becomes King. “That’s why he’s gone and hired a new crisis PR team to help him get ahead of anything that happens with Harry and Meghan going forward," they noted.

If hiring a new crisis manager wasn’t enough, reportedly, the future King is also straightaway refusing to be in the same room as the Duke. Prince William is also “flat out refusing to be in the same room as Harry when he does come back,” reveals the insider. “If he had to leave town to avoid him, he says he will.” As per the outlet, William has made his stance very clear when it comes to his younger brother. However, Harry may have other plans.

On January 21, the Duke of Sussex took the stand to give his testimony against Associated Newspapers Limited. But it was his choice of outfit that piqued the interest of royal watchers. Wearing a burgundy and navy blue tie, the same one he wore while standing beside William in 2017 at the Canadian National Vimy Memorial, it looked like a perfect nod to their shared past. Even HELLO!'s fashion editor Laura Sutcliffe suggested that the choice of accessory "could be an attempt to subtly reach out to him." “It shows how special their union once was, and perhaps he is hoping to ignite it," she also opined.
