The Osbournes Believe William Will Be an ‘Amazing King’ While Backing His Royal Mission
The pair is providing a major financial boost to the UK’s premier youth charity, a cause that remains a high priority for Prince William.
The Osbournes and the Royal Family couldn’t be further apart on the cultural dial, but they’ve found common ground in tackling homelessness together. Sharon and Kelly Osbourne are taking a trip down memory lane, revisiting iconic clips and photos from their 2000s-era MTV hit, The Osbournes, as part of a new partnership with Omaze. By looking back at their lives in Buckinghamshire and Los Angeles, the mother-daughter duo is helping to fuel a major financial engine for Centrepoint — the UK’s top charity for young people facing homelessness that also has a close connection with Prince William.
Through the promotion of a £5 million (around $6.7 million) Georgian mansion giveaway, Omaze has pledged a £1 million (roughly $1.3 million) donation to Centrepoint. The organization is a cornerstone of the Prince of Wales’s public life — serving as his first official patronage in 2005, a role he took over from his mother, Princess Diana, who supported the charity until she died in 1997. For Kelly Osbourne, opening up the family archives was a small price to pay for such a significant impact, proving that even the wildest reality TV past can serve a royal-approved cause. Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, the 41-year-old noted, “I said I'd only do this if the charity side was really meaningful. I wanted Omaze to match the value of the house and they pretty much have. I think William will make an amazing king, and I really hope he's pleased with the donation.”
The funds are earmarked for seven of Centrepoint’s Independent Living homes — providing 160 young people with a pathway from the streets to self-sufficiency. The Prince of Wales has made ending homelessness central to his royal legacy, recently launching the ambitious Homewards project. It’s a pledge that Kelly takes seriously. “I won't rest until we end homelessness, which is a pledge the future King holds,” she highlighted, adding her admiration for William’s hands-on approach. She also shared her hopes for a meeting with the heir apparent at an upcoming gala in September — noting she has “so many ideas” to discuss with him. Praising the Prince, Kelly stated, “He has such clarity and goes to the grassroots of the centres to help and support them.”
Seyi Obakin OBE, CEO of Centrepoint, expressed his gratitude for the Osbournes’ involvement, stating that their “generosity, together with their commitment to ending youth homelessness, has made possible a truly inspiring campaign, for which we are truly grateful.” While the Osbournes are known for their rock-and-roll rebellion, they have maintained a surprisingly warm relationship with the monarchy.
For instance, following the passing of Ozzy Osbourne on July 22, 2025, King Charles sent the family a ‘lovely letter’ to express his condolences. Reflecting on the monarch’s heartwarming gesture on The Osbournes podcast, Sharon didn’t hold back her admiration for the King’s character — describing him as an ‘amazing person.’ “Here's a man that does know what's going on in the street with people... He cares about many, many, many things,” she observed, noting that she and her late husband were longtime ‘royalists.’
